Bale isn't the only one that doesn't want it. Neither does Nolan. And if Nolan doesn't want something, it's not going to happen. It just doesn't fit with this franchise. JGL also isn't a little kid. He's nearing 30. And the Batman of this franchise is still in his early phases. Robin doesn't come for a while. It just wouldn't work well with this franchise.

JGL looks like a little kid he could pull it off...

As for it not working well i think a dark Dick/Tim/Barbara would be f'n awesome...But I do think they got to start adding some of these guys at some point esp Dick and Barbara you just cant keep making Batman movies without these guys

All this....corny. Just terrible. This is not about franchising other spinoffs. The whole purpose of Robin in the comic was to liven it up a little, to keep Batman from being all the way Dark. Conversely Darker is better in film than lighter. All you need to do is look at what Schumacher did with the franchise.

There's no way to bring in Robin without making it seem forced. The film would have to focus on Robin.

I'm glad Bale and Nolan want to keep that kiddy stuff out of the films.

How can you have a trio and not make it look campy? I think there's so much in the batman character that you don't ever need to bring along Robin or Barbara.

Who says they are going to keep making movies? It's likely that the 3rd one will be the last with Nolan and company. And even if it wasn't, it's foolish to think that you need Dick and Barbara to continue a Batman franchise. There are so many unbelievable stories in the Batman canon. There's a reason that everyone loves Batman. And it's not because of Robin or Batgirl.

You sir are a idiot...Sure when Dick was first brought it he was a corny child that was brought in to lightin the Batman was series but if all you know about Robin is the Batman and Robin movie then please shut up

There is no reason they have to force Robin or any of the other character in they are such a big part of Batman that the fans should wants these guys in there it just the idiots that only know Robin from the Batman and Robin movie that dont want it

Also i dont think the next villian should be The Riddler..I want to see them try someone new maybe Deadshot or hell Catman =D

Its far from foolish the Batman universe is a huge part of Batman and his storys...There is so much more they can do with Batman if these guys where apart of the movies at some points

As for Joseph Gordon-Levitt, deeper searching is needed. He would make a decent fit as Roman Sionis aka Black Mask, and the character was rumored for a time to be a possibility for The Dark Knight. C'mon, now.

LDC as Riddler would be aweful. Riddler has an obnoxious aura, I just dont see DiCaprio pulling this character. I think Leo would've been a great Harvey Dent though or they could use him as Hush.

Leonardo DiCaprio, one of the greatest working actors today, cannot play obnoxious? The man has proven over the past decade that he can play pretty much whatever he wants.

P.S. Harvey Dent is a bit obnoxious, too. So is Tommy Elliot.

Ok last think i will stay to get my point across...

I just think there is SO much more to Batman then Nolan/Bale are willing to do they could keep these movies going for 15 sequels and still make great movies and have great storyline but they just seems like they dont want to branch Batman out which i think is a shame...All of them great storys/character in the Batman world and we are never gonna see them come to life

Using any of those in any upcoming movie would be a waste of time. If Robin was to be introduced, it would need to take up a huge chunk of the film to not be corny. There is still SO much to explore for this current incarnation of Bruce Wayne/Batman that including Robin in a film would only result in a monumental waste of time and opportunity.
