Man, you just don't get it. These guys don't want to be spending their entire lives making Batman movies. Chris Nolan is not going to make 15 sequels. That's just crazy to even entertain that notion.

Really, I find it hard to believe that anyone can complain about this current franchise. If the third film follows the pattern of the first two, you are looking at one of, if not the greatest handled franchise of all-time. No one wants a Crystal Skull or Phantom Menace.

These guys are dedicated to making great movies. We're lucky that they're going to even be doing three.

Im not complaining i just saying there is so much more that they can do but wont..There is so much they could do with Batman other then having him fight Riddler/Penguin/Joker/Two Face but they are not willing to do it i would like to see a Batman movie branch out from the same Villians and the same ****

And for the record i really like The Dark Knight but i thought people overrated the **** out of it...Personally i liked Begins better then The Dark Knight

And im not saying Nolan should do 15 sequels im saying he could and still put out a great movie because of everything/everyone in the Batman Universe

Like others have said, it probably won't match what the Dark Knight was for the Batman serious. Although, I can still see them pulling off another great film for the new trilogy. I'm just glad they aren't bringing back the Joker since Heath knocked that role out of the park.

If anything this is a great sign for the next movie; it means they won't be sticking someone else in that role and they can just move on with the story of Batman. The Joker was apprehended at the end of the Dark Knight and villains often spend time in Arkham or Blackrock while Batman deals with others. There aren't really any loose ends that I can think of and Batman can move forward. It is a shame that we don't get to see more of Ledger as The Joker but this is a sign of good decision making and a reason to believe that the next movie will be great as well.

I loved Begins a lot more than people in my social circle, so when they all went bat**** for the Dark Knight, they were surprised I didn't claim it as best movie ever (like some of them did). It was very enjoyable, but when it came out, I didn't know if I liked it better than Wall-E, which I saw only a few weeks before it and was my favorite film of the year at that point. I felt the story was good, but not as great as people made it out to be. The acting was ok, with the exception of Ledger, who absolutely stole each scene he was in. I thought Eric Roberts was the only other actor who really did his role at a high level.

That said, I don't think Ledger's absence automatically disqualifies this film from being at the same level as TDK or BB. We've all seen superior performances from Bale, Caine, Oldman and crew, so hopefully they'll bring it again.

Any ideas on the villain? Two Face would have been a great option as a standalone nemesis to carry a movie, but he's dead. And I hope they don't bring him back. I'm a fan of Eckhart, but the role served its purpose and we shouldn't see one of those "surprise! he's alive" scenarios; too cheesy for such a well-done and realistic comic inspired series.

Perhaps we'll see Catwoman? I also think Nolan would do a great job with Holiday--maybe show the mafia's resurgence since last we vistied Gotham. And he'd probably have to make Holiday the son of Sal Maroni instead of Falcone.

Is this news? I thought we heard there would be no Joker in the next Batman movie like two or three years ago. FWIW, I liked TDK more than Begins after the first viewing but I enjoy re-watching Begins moe than The Dark Knight. I don't know what that means. Probably I'm an *******.

The more and more I watch TDK, the less and less I like it. I still love Heath Ledger doing his thing as the Joker, but I'm glad they are not bringing the character back.

Count me among those who didn't like TDK as much as everybody else. Call me crazy but I liked Begins more.

As far as Batman 3 goes, The Riddler or Penguin would be good choices as villains.

Yeah, Batman Begins people seem to go gaga when they proclaim they like Begins more, like we're going to pounce on them for saying something so absurd.

It's completely understandable to like Begins more. They are both great films.
