Its a shit ton of reading. I do a ton of driving so I just got them on audible. Even then they average around 40 hours per audible book.

I just realized I spent around 200 hours listening to those audible books. Crazy.

Just fair warning. Stay out of the Fire and Ice thread if you haven't read the books. We're ruining shit left and right in there.

You shouldn't even have to say that. Anybody who goes browsing into the Fire and Ice thread without having read the books deserves the spoilers that come with it.

Yikes. Good thing there's a wall.

And why the **** are the Denarys teasers so good and then the rest of the season so boring!

Re: Game of Thrones

Now we gotta wait almost a year for season 3? This is gonna suck.

For those that read the 2nd book, no spoilers but how much of the book did this season cover? I know they moved a lot of things around, but did they end the season where the 2nd books ends?

after experiencing game of thrones i'm not that high on breaking bad anymore.

game of thrones has so many awesome actors and characters, while jesse and walt started to annoy me and gus is no more.

the only person i like is hank.

I was skeptical of Daenerys' magical abilities but not anymore. She's a G.

Also the King of the undead wildlings looked badass.

Did she even use magic? It was just her Dragons breathing fire.

I honestly don't remember. I listened to the books back to back right after each other so its kind of a blur.

They got into book 3 a bit.

I thought that they got a little into 3 with some storylines, but also didn't wrap up everything from book 2. Granted, I didn't go back and check against the books, so it's highly likely I'm just misremembering storylines.

UPDATE: HBO Apologizes For Severed George W. Bush Head On ‘Game Of Thrones’

Quote:
In a classic case of “What were they thinking?!,” scenes from the first season of HBO’s fantasy series Game Of Thrones featured the decapitated head of former President George W. Bush. The inappropriate prop use would’ve likely gone unnoticed if not for the series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, who drew attention to it on the Game Of Thrones Season One DVD boxed set when commenting on a scene from Episode 10 where the Bush head in a filthy long wig and covered with mud is one of several positioned on spikes when King Joffrey (Jack Gleason) takes Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) to show her the severed head of her father.
