Re: Game of Thrones
King of the North + Dragon Queen = babies?
I haven't read any of the books but I think that the men of the wall are going to be slaughtered.

Really looking forward to listening to more of the audio book hopefully today. That episode last night was ****ing epic. It got me thinking, with this, Mad Men, Boardwalk Empire, hell even Walking Dead, I'm pretty sure this is my golden era of TV. Not to mention Lost and The Wire weren't that long ago either and I still haven't started Break Bad. HBO is on the top of their game right now.

Re: Game of Thrones
Well, he may survive with his direwolf, but the wall has to fall.

Re: Game of Thrones
Production values are sky high right now. Technology has gotten to the point that you don't need the $100m budget to get a visually acceptable story with sfx across.

I would assume a Kallisi/Winterfell alliance to combat White Walkers, but who knows? At this point they could pull anything, and that's my favorite thing about this show. You never know what the ****s going to happen.

Re: Game of Thrones
*SPOILERS FROM LAST NIGHT'S EPISODE*
I think it's crazy that the whole Whitewalker thing has the potential to derail the drama going on for the throne right now. When the Wall commander told John Snow basically "You think the throne really matters when these things are the on the way?" It's going to throw a whole new ****show until what already is a massive cluster****. It's also going to be great to see Tyrian and his mischievous ways trying to grab that throne.

Re: Game of Thrones
Her whole army left. All she has now are a few slaves that stayed loyal. The dragons have been vanquished before. She'll need an actual army. Not to mention (even though he promised he would marry that dude's daughter) Ben Snow has no wife or love interest. With Drogo out, that sets an alliance up quite nicely.

I mean, before DVD's, to watch a television show, you had to record it, or catch it live, or watch reruns. That's it. TV shows on VHS never gained momentum (I know there were a few rare collector set shows on VHS) because you needed too many tapes for too many seasons. DVD has helped. Not to mention HBO, with shows like the Sopranos and The Wire, has forced every other cable movie channel to step up their game. Movie channels are no longer about the movies that are playing. They're about the original programming that's being put out. All this competition is beautiful to see.

Re: Game of Thrones
Oh, and as per the show...
SPOILERS One of my concerns with the dragons is I'm sure that Kaleesi is going to take a very maternal protective role in raising them, and I wouldn't be surprised if there are times where the dragons will be threatened or harmed. Obviously at least one dragon will survive, I think, or else they wouldn't have incorporated them the way they did, but I wouldn't be shocked if one or two (how many are there? four?) of the dragons gets killed or harmed in some way, which would suck. I want to see all four (or whatever amount) dragons grown. But I think it's going to be tough. I think there will be people trying to kill them/take them/harm them.
