DVR and OnDemand has only helped in increasing the rapid momentum of the television's "golden era", as we're calling it. And then websites like HULU and whatnot...television is just so accessible and profitable right now. I mean, the two best examples of this are Family Guy and Chappelle's Show. Look what DVD's has done for them.

Re: Game of Thrones
spoiler
It was way too predictable that the dragon eggs would be resurrected as dragons. I saw that **** coming a mile away. I didn't think it would happen the way it did though. The sorceress was vindictive as ****. Sad to see Drogo go like that. I thought they would be her son's dragons when he came to conquer Westeros (Seven Kingdoms). I didn't think they'd be hers. With the Night Watch north of the wall, I'm curious what's going to happen with Arya and Robert's bastard son. Who is going to train them when they arrive at Castle Black/the Wall? |

You got your facts wrong on the bolded part. Remember what Viserys said while bathing with his sister's slave. Brave men didn't kill dragons, they rode them. I can say more on the fact, but it's backstory from before the TV show's timeline from the book (I'm behind the tv show in the book, but the show hasn't elected to say the info I'm talking about yet, so I won't mention it either, even though I doubt it will ever come up on the show). And who is Ben Snow? Jon? He's taken the black (the oath that says can't marry and should be celibate). Contextually, it sounds like you're talking about Robb Stark, though. And yeah, he seems too honorable to go back on his word about marrying one of Lord Fray's daughters. By the way, it's 3 dragons that she has with her. There's a reason for that number. It may or may have not been said on the show, but I'll play it safe and assume it wasn't. |

Re: Game of Thrones
Just watched the first episode, s'okay. Hoping its worth the hype y'all have been talking about. Legend of the seeker was the last fantasy series I watched and I enjoyed it, this better top it.

Re: Game of Thrones
As I said before, I'm further in the tv show than I am with the novels, but I know for certainty that each season is 1 book's worth of material. There's 4 books out right now, and the 5th is coming out in a few weeks. There'll be 7 in total, so 7 seasons of the show. The thing is George R.R. Martin has slowed down a lot recently (took him almost 6 years to release his last book), so we'll see what happens if the show catches up to the novel by season 7. My guess is it will go on hiatus until he finishes.

Re: Game of Thrones
They movie sucked worse than Eragon. It was as bad as In the Name of the King.
