The 6th Harry Potter movie was terrible. It's my favorite book of the series, but that movie blew.

The movie, as a movie, was good. Special effects were good, the acting was good, and the production quality was a huge improvement over the previous movies.

The problem is that it went away from the book more than any of the other movies. It had to though, because from a screen writing structure standpoint, there were too many things in the book that didn't advance the plot of this specific movie.

Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

The Godfather, parts 1 & 2 are two of the best movies ever made. So despite part III it wins.

Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

That's like forgiving terminator series for terminator 3. (4 doesn't count since arnie was cgi'd into it).

Can we add in any series with at least 3 installments? If so, I nominate Iron Eagles, House Party, Death Wish, Rambo, Rocky (minus 5), Die Hard, and Police Academy.

Well then we need to include the Naked Gun trilogy.

Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

1. Dark Knight
2. Lord of the Rings
3. Star Wars Old Trilogy
4. Toy Story
5. Terminator
6. Star Wards Prequels
7. Matrix
8. Transformers
9. Bourne
10. Spiderman
11. Mighty Ducks

Haven't seen Alien or Godfather yet, and Iron Man will probably be in my top 5 if number 3 is as good as the previous 2.

Edit forgot about Transformers.

Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

You list is invalid as it doesn't include Indiana Jones.

Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

I would have Indiana Jones at #4 but unfortunately Kingdom of the Crystal Skull disqualifies it.
