Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

The first 3 Superman movies were really great. No has mentioned them. LOTR is hands down the best ever.

Not a bad movie, but not in the class of ROTK.

Im sorry but having read the books before watching the movies made me biased, I think the first movie of LOTR was the best and I didnt think the third was all that great...

Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

The first movie was the most complete of the three, but the third had such spectacle that went unmatched for a decade.

What about the Shrek Films? They're all pretty entertaining.

The first two are good. I haven't seen the others though.

I think the third was easily the best of the 3. I guess it's a personal preference thing.

Re: Favorite movie trilogy?

I love Tolkien as a writer and enjoyed the books, but the movies didn't do it for me. They turned Frodo into a whiney bitch, much of the dialog was pretty cheeseball and the 3rd movie dragged on unmercifully.

The one with Timberlake? That one sucked. Forever After was much better though.

Return of the King was far better than the first two.
