Thumbs up Avengers 2

Joss Whedon WILL be back for Avengers 2

Quote:
The news came courtesy of Marvel's owner, Disney, when Walt Disney Company CEO Robert Iger announced Whedon's return during a call discussing the company's latest earnings reports on Tuesday. But Iger made it clear this is about more than just a movie. He wants to "leverage the power of the Avengers" as much as possible, and in that spirit Whedon will also be moving to the small screen to develop a TV series for Marvel.

That's right. Joss Whedon's returning to TV in the Marvel Universe.

We don't know yet what exactly this TV project will focus on, or when we'll see it, but this definitely confirms the Marvel collaboration with ABC we heard about last week. And with Guillermo del Toro still working on his own Hulk TV show, we could be set up for a very big TV push for Marvel in the coming years.

Re: Avengers 2

deeper and more personal

Quote:
{Joss Whedon} is described as wanting it more “smaller, deeper and more personal,” but with an even bigger sense of story and lineup for the superhero team.

Already a new member to the band of heroes is being considering for the next film, “Screen Rant” reveals via Whedon, and some popular rumored choices include Ant-Man or the Wasp, who the director said he actually wanted to include in the first movie but didn’t have enough time to do so.

Joss Whedon Talks All Things Marvel: The Avengers 2

Quote:
I don't think it's a perfect movie. I don't even think it's a great movie. I think it's a great time, and I'm proud of it, but for me, what was exciting is that people don't go to see a movie that many times unless it's pulling on something from within, unless there's a need there. That's very gratifying.

Re: Avengers 2

Thanos casting options

Quote:
I had thought about Idris Elba, who is an English actor I always thought about. He is already appearing as Heimdall. There were rumors going around that Arnold Schwarzenegger was going to be tapped for it, which at first I thought was a bad idea but then I caught him in thenews since his post-cancer treatment and he has Thanos' voice. He has this real gravelly voice and he would probably work well. Couldn't think of anybody else I'd throw out off the top of my head.

Arnold didn't really work out as Mr. Freeze. Maybe he wants a shot at redemption with Marvel?

Re: Avengers 2

Spoiler from the first movie

Quote:
If you look closely, on the right side margin, the title is pretty dang interesting: "Avengers Tower: Training Area."

Hmm, Avengers Tower? Now, that sounds intriguing, and it fits with the Avengers' frequent hangout in the comic canon at Stark Tower, which is sometimes referred to as Avengers Tower.

So what does it mean? That maybe, in addition to the awesome S.H.I.E.L.D. helicarrier, the team might also be working out of Stark's fancy, rebuilt New York tower in a potential sequel.

Maybe that last, hanging "A" at the end of the film is more than just a cute nod, after all.

Re: Avengers 2

Ms. Marvel in Avengers 2?

Quote:
Take it with a moderately-sized grain of salt, but The Daily Mail is reporting that British actresses Emily Blunt (The Adjustment Bureau) and Ruth Wilson (The Lone Ranger) are battling it out for the role of Ms. Marvel in director Joss Whedon's eagerly anticipated sequel.
