Finally got around to watching the pilot episode on Hulu and I enjoyed it. Really interesting plot concept, everything electronic in the world shuts off and cannot be turned back on. The badass uncle who kills everybody in sight is an enjoyable dynamic to the show, even if he's a little cliche, should make for a bunch of sweet battle scenes.

Again, only one episode in, but I've been pumped about this show for a minute and it didn't let me down.

So this show is doing well but ive seen to many shows crash and burn (flashforward/the event/jericho) and cant really decide if i should jump in since it might be the next Lost

Anyone watch the first 5 episodes yet?

I love that map though. Minnesota would be in our awesome Monroe Republic though. Iowa is borderline too, but they have more evangelicals than any other state as a percentage (probably) than any other Monroe state save Virginia.

Yeah this looks like it's gonna burn too. High cost, high concept TV shows get canceled quickly. If they can't drag this out like Lost, it won't last very long.

Also, why are they using crossbows? You don't need electricity to use a gun.

I saw part of an episode. It's weird seeing Gus Fring not being Gus Fring. I didn't like it.

Acting government body made it illegal for anybody to own guns, if you are caught owning one the punishment is death.

Makes more sense.

Still, the crossbows, swords, and muskets combined with the post apocalypse landscape just seems too convoluted to not get canceled. Maybe I've been spoiled by the gritty portraits painted by the Walking Dead, but this seems cheesy.

I hate on this show, big time. I hate on it. I'll probably stream it.
