I love Disney and what they did with Marvel and Pixar and i expect the same awesomeness with the Star Wars movies. I was just pointing out there was potential huge movie franchises that they swinged and missed on

I'm mostly optimistic about Disney's new star wars sequel as well. I'm just also worried at the possibility they really **** it up.

If they want to follow the books, the next major story line would centered around this guy as the antagonist and leader of the empire http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grand_Admiral_Thrawn

Personally, I dislike Disney. With Disney you're never going to get adult language or serious violence or anything that will ruffle feathers. It narrows the scope of what a movie could be and it spoils it for me in a way because I know what won't happen in a movie.

The Star Wars continuum has some great authors like Timothy Zahn and Michael Stackpole. You could make some really good movies, but they're looking to create the next Pirates franchise and I suspect Disney is going to make some mass market digestible trash.

That was my reason for disliking Disney. I was responding to him asking if Disney has ever made something worse. I said they would make Star Wars an easily digestible trash franchise to be their next Pirates. I didn't say Star Wars needed adult language. Star Wars is a specific movie franchise and I have no problem that there is no adult language. Disney is a company that makes lots of movies. I do have a problem that they will not have adult material in any movie they ever will make.

So you didnt like any of the Marvel movies? Iron Man,Captain America,Thor or The Avengers? They are good movies they are not Oscar worthy movie but good movies. Disney makes good movies even if they are not filled with murder rape and saying **** every 2 lines which it sounds like you want...

Dont really get your problem here. Expect that you want Disney to go Scarface on their movies

Those movies were awful. I did like the first Iron Man though.

To clarify, I don't expect every movie to be Scarface. I just don't like them being limited in story potential. If they announce "Dr. Strange" for example then expect it to be some PG/PG-13 family friendly bland storyline to extract value.

Every major film is going to be aimed at a mass audience and it is going to have a PG-13 rating by the MPAA. There are a very small percentage of films that are not going to be aimed at the teen audience and rated appropriately. That's who pays to go see movies in theaters and no one makes a big budget movie that they will not be allowed to buy tickets for.

There's a big difference between a movie like The Dark Knight which garnered Oscar buzz and a Disney production like Thor. And that's completely due to the company making the movie and their principles and decisions. You know before even seeing it what won't be in Thor. And I'm not some person that needs adult content, I just object to it being outside the realm of possibility.
