George Lucas will donate the bulk of the $4 billion from Lucasfilm's sale to Disney to charities.

Because Mark Hamill is such an awesome actor, right?

I'm sure Disney is going to find a good replacement and I wouldn't be surprised to see Hamill have some kind of role.

Because Hamill's image as Luke Skywalker is iconic. Having someone different play him wouldn't be much different from changing Darth Vader's mask/armor, replacing Ian McKellen as Gandalf, or Stallone as Rocky, to name a few.

No he isn't. Hamill is as replaceable as Hayden Christiansen, or the kid who played Anakin. Star Wars was never about good acting.

Vader is the only iconic image from that movie, and he didn't even have a face.
