Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
He'll last longer than your average bust QB, just because he's Tebow. He might be a McDaniels guy, but his celebrity status will make Elway think much harder about cutting him. Critics will say the NFL is a business, but even more so it's a people business. Tebow's best attribute is his likeability, rather than a football skill.
Have you guys tried playing as him in Madden? He's terrible. His inaccuracy is a liability even on a simple slant play. The only good thing about him is Denver's Tebow formation, where you can run a WR sweep or QB option. Even then it works less than half the time.

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
Tebow may now be on the trading block.

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
I'm going to be a contrarian and say "Good for Tebow" for refusing to risk his career for a team that plans on cutting him anyway.

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
Maybe he thinks that Tebow's a threat to his "Worst player to ever have a ten year NFL career" title?

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
I just don't get it. I mean, as a guy who unfortunately attended Florida State while Tebow was crushing us for 3 years, I should hate him, but I don't. Why does Hoge hate him so much? He's one of those people that's been waiting for the past 7 years for the slightest slip up so he can jump on him, call him a phony and rip his character to shreds. Give me a break, leave the guy alone.

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
i don't think tebow is a very good qb but it definitely doesn't seem like he got a chance with the jets.

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
Really? He seemed like he was around for ten. OK then, maybe he feels that Tebow threatens his record of "Worst Player to have an NFL Career that lasted more than one contract"?

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
Tebow has been better at QB than I thought he'd be, but if he really decided to go to the Jets that was a terrible decision. Last year he pretty much proved how important it is that your QB does not turn the ball over. This year it's been proven that John Fox is a vastly better coach than Rex Ryan is. Hard for me to believe that he really could have been much worse than Sanchez. Really though, Rex might not have been a lot worse under center himself.

Re: Merrill Hoge vs Tim Tebow.
I'm a Tebow fan now. Dude is getting slandered by the media and benched repeatedly by his team. I wanna see him do well.
That asking out of the Wildcat stuff is completely uncalled for by the reporters. How the hell would they know?
