R.I.P. Junior Seau. Although I will add that this hardly the most shocking suicide I have ever found out about, far from it actually. |

Re: Junior Seau found Dead
This might sound morbid but this reminds me of that Law and Order episode where some ex football player had brain damage and shot himself in the chest instead of head so his brain could be studied and it could be diagnosed with that multiple concussion syndrome that can only be found in death.
The episode did a good job of showing the torment that goes on with these guys...I don't know how much was exaggerated for entertainment but he couldn't remember anything and was basically becoming a big baby at 50 years old or however old he was. Would suck if that's how it is for them. |

Re: Junior Seau found Dead
There was an article on I think it was Grantland or Slate about this a few weeks ago. It's just a matter of how far down the road are we talking about. It's probably inevitable, but not going to happen until we're old.

Re: Junior Seau found Dead
So sad, so young. I was just listening to Marcellus Wiley on ESPN Radio (former teammate with the Chargers) and that was tough to listen to. I never understand suicide. Could life really be SO bad that it's worth taking your life over and ruining your family's for? Unbelievable player and from what I've heard/read, an even better person. RIP #55.
