2012 NFL Predictions Thread
I'll start off with a bang...Jordy Nelson will put up bigger numbers than Calvin Johnson.
TO, Ocho, and Plaxico will NOT play a single snap in the NFL this season. Lesean McCoy will lead the league in rushing. Vikings will win 6 games. That's all I got for now. How about you guys?

Re: 2012 NFL Predictions Thread
NFC East:
Eagles* Giants Cowboys Redskins Toss up again this year. These teams will beat each other up. I think the Eagles have the best team (same as last year). Will come down to injuries and tie-breakers again. Probably no wild-card form this division. NFC North: Packers* Lions* Bears Vikings Packers should win the division but won't have it as easy as last year. They have a very tough open. Could easily see them opening 3-3. Chicago is overrated. Old defense, bad offensive line, Mike Tice... not sure what people see in this team. Detroit had a rough off-season in the headlines, but their talent in the passing game and on the defensive line is a pretty solid formula for success. Stafford joins the Rodgers/Brees/Brady tier this year. NFC South: Saints* Falcons Bucs Panthers Think the Saints demise has been oversold. Thought they were the best team last year. Scandal aside, Greg Williams was a terrible DC and murdered them in the playoffs with his gambling. His addition by subtractions offsets Peyton's subtraction by subtraction. Panthers take a step back. Less big plays from Steve Smith and a better gameplan for Cam means they will need to try something different. NFC West: Seahawks* 49ers* Rams Cardinals Seattle benefits from a third place schedule and gets almost all of their tough non-division games at home where they have a real advantage. Love their defense this year. The only NFC division with two terrible teams, it should get one of the wild cards easily. AFC East: Patriots* Bills* Dolphins Jets Soft home schedule for Buffalo. No offense in Miami or New York. Patriots win 14. AFC North: Ravens* Bengals* Steelers Browns I think this is the year Pittsburgh falls off the map. Their defense is getting very old with injury concerns everywhere. Offense is a mess, the DeCastro injury is a killer. Cincinnati returns to the playoffs, only this time with an actually good team led by a rapidly improving defense. AFC South: Texans* Jaguars Titans Colts Luck looks great for Indy, their defense is still horrible. Jags improve on their defense and a better year from Gabbert. Texans are the best team in the conference if they stay healthy. AFC West: Chiefs* Broncos Raiders Chargers I don't want to watch any of these teams. Peyton looks like Favre in his first year in Minny rather than the 2nd, but gets hurt and is retired by week 8. Chargers bottom out. Rivers improves on his awful season from last year, but the defense gets worse. Chiefs? Maybe their defense is OK if Berry is healthy? |

Re: 2012 NFL Predictions Thread
Browns will be the worst team in the league. Rookie QB, RB who got hurt already about to shoulder load, raw skill players, tough division? Disaster.
Panthers will be a .500 or less team. Joe Flacco will establish himself and those who barely watched him play in the past will be forced to suck his balls. Calvin Johnson will break the madden curse. Chargers will be top 3 team in AFC. Love what they did this offseason. Raiders will go back to being one of the worst teams. David Wilson wins OROY. Melvin Ingram wins DROY. I'll add more later or I'll definitely do a standings. Last edited by Dissonance; 09-02-2012 at 12:06 PM. |

Re: 2012 NFL Predictions Thread
Jets, Bengals, and Titans will all finish under .500.
The Browns won't have a win by week 10. They'll finish with the worst record in the league and will take a QB to replace Brandon Weeden with the #1 pick. Ravens and Giants will both fail to make the playoffs (and this is coming from a guy who always picks Baltimore to make it to the SB during beginning of the year predictions). Flacco will improve and Torrey Smith will put up elite fantasy numbers. Cruz will see a decline in numbers, but Nicks will re-establish himself as a top 10 WR. JPP breaks the 15 sack barrier again. The AFC West will send 2 teams to the playoffs and neither will be known until the final week is over. The Final AFC Wild Card team will come down to Buffalo, the 3rd ranked AFC West team and....Jacksonville (Gabbert goes from worst QB in the league not named Painter to serviceable. Defense is a top 3 unit in the league). The NFC demolishes the AFC in conference competition. The Bucs will be a much improved team, but won't have a better record than last year. Arizona will also be a better team than last year, but with a worse record due to their ineptitude along the offensive line. The Seahawks represent the NFC West by matching the 49er's record and having the tiebreaker of San Francisco. The Panthers will win the NFC South (maybe it's a homer pick, but I like the talent on the roster, even objectively). SB - Eagles over Patriots MVP - Aaron Rodgers OPOY - Phillip Rivers DPOY - DeMarcus Ware OROY - Andrew Luck DROY - Luke Kuechly Comeback POY - Peyton Manning Coach of the Year - Mike Mularkey Last edited by Kaas; 09-03-2012 at 10:04 PM.
