No you didn't. Packers didn't deserve to win that game, no team did. I will always contend that a team that played like they did in the first half should have just packed up their bags and went home. They were an embarrassment to the entire state of Wisconsin. I don't think I have seen anything that brutal since the 49ers punished the Rams in a 1976 Monday night game like that...and I sure didn't think my team deserved to win that game either.

Or maybe you think mediocrity should be rewarded...I beg to differ.

Not any worse than the regular referees. How many times have I read on here complaints about the officials in previous years? People just love to complain about the refs, but you should get out and try it yourself sometime.

Not as easy as you might think, believe me.

The rule is if two players make contact with the ball at the same time and maintain possession throughout the catch, it goes to the offense. It doesn't matter who has "more" possession. It looked like Golden Tate's left hand may have been on the ball the entire way. I think many of the NFL rules are poorly worded and betray their common sense intent. In that respect, I think this was a tougher call than people make it seem. When you have inexperience refs trying to sort out a ruling on one of the games most uncommon plays, nobody is going to agree with the outcome.

It's not like a similarly nonsense rule has never decided a game before. The real refs were still around for that Calvin Johnson game a couple years ago where a bad rule followed to the letter of the law cost a team a game.

Still, the replacements have been terrible. I think that play last night was a tough one, but they've routinely been screwing up simple things like marking off the proper yardage on penalties which is unforgiveable.
Jennings clearly caught thw ball, hell tates second arm soesnt even come onto the football until it was already in jenninga chest. It was a blatantly blown call that anyone with football knowledge is upset about. Not to mention the blatant two hand shove in the back to even put himaelf into position to steal the ball qas just as bad of a missed call if not worse. The refs allowed the seahawks to win a game that they clearly didnt win and it may have major impact on several teams outside of just these two teams. With so few games on the schedule one game in either direction effecta tiebreakera, seeding, home field advantage and even worse it may keep green bay out of the playoffs and allow seattle to make them. It was an embarassment.

Ron, we scored more points then them, we deserved to win the game. It is really that simple.

I think all of you guys are a lot of fun to poke with. Y'all are too young to remember the dolts we used to have to put up with in the '70s and '80s WITHOUT the benefit of instant replay.

This is nothing compared to those days.

And guess what? Not only did the NFL survive, they became stronger than ever.

I am a witness.

No, it really is not. The Packers didn't deserve shit in that game, and if you are happy with a mediocre Packers team whose offensive line is total Swiss cheese that will put Aaron Rodgers in traction by week 5, then I don't know what to say to you.

Get over it. You are blindly following a league that doesn't care about the outcome of games, so you are a willing partner in the comedy playing itself out. Accept it and move on.

I just dont get your logic, yes our offense was terrible in the first half, but it was solid in the aexond half and our sefense played great all night. We did enough to win the game and it really is that simple. Games arent decides at halftime based on how many sacks you allowed. We outplayed them in the second half and our dedensw shut them down all night with the exception of busted coverage on tates first touchdown. The refs gave the seahwaks points they didnt deserve am literally handed them a win. If you cant understand how a packer fan would be livid over this i dont lnow what to tell you.

Nobody questions if Jennings caught the ball. Did Tate have simultaneous, unbroken possession? You can catch a ball with one arm in the NFL. I swear I've seen almost this exact play before but I can't remember where. I'm not saying it makes any sense, just that nowhere in the rules does it say anything like two hand possesion > than one hand possession.

All I'm saying is, prepare yourself for when the NFL releases a statement later today about how they feel the replacements made the correct call with regards to the lettering of the rule.

If one guy catches it with 2 hands and the other guy catches it with 1 ill give the major nod to the guy with 2.

You are absolutely right about the nfl taking a chickenshit stand on this for sure

With basketball it's because my very first basketball was a San Diego Rockets ball. In hockey it's really only the Bruins I follow.

Easy for you to say, the Lingerie Football League officials put about 17 points on the board for you guys, including the wide right field goal.

Actually, it hasn't been a sieve this year. Without the crappy replacements the Ravens would have lost half their first downs. There were six occasions that I counted where Baltimore receivers were holding/pushing/etc. their defender only to be gifted with a PI/holding/illegal contact call. Against the defender. And on three occasions they got scores out of it. One of those sorts of butchered calls a team can survive. But three quarters of them?

You can say that we complain about the regular refs, which is true, but to say that these refs aren't any worse is a crock of shit.
