The team will prepare veteran Charlie Batch as the Pittsburgh Steelers' third starting quarterback in as many games when they play the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, the sources added.

In addition to his fractured ribs, Leftwich later hurt his shoulder but the sources said it was not believed to be as detrimental as the rib injuries.

The team already is without starter Ben Roethlisberger, who missed Sunday night's game because of a rare dislocated rib injury.

Steelers doctors believe Roethlisberger will miss three weeks, though the team has not abandoned hope that he may miss only two games and be able to return for the rematch against the Ravens in two weeks.

Bet they wish they still had Dennis Dixon right about now.

I know right. I don't think Batch will cut it.

Dixon was just re-signed to Ravens practice squad last week.

Almost nailed it. I knew he'd get injured, but no IR..for now.

Somebody on sports radio mentioned Tyler Palko today since he played in the Todd Haley offense.

Jerrod Johnson was on the team in the preseason. Maybe they'll bring him back.

With Batch, they won't complete a pass longer than 10 yards. And I know Cleveland blows, but they've actually resembled an NFL team over the last few games.
