Re: NFC Divisional: #3 Green Bay Packers (12-5) @ #2 San Francisco 49ers (11-4-1) - 1/12
Lots of 49ers doubters in this thread.

They have gotten worse since the Kaepernick switch. No one thinks they are a bad team.

Kaepernick hasn't really been the problem, some of the 49ers best players have gone down with injuries in the past few weeks. Harbaugh doesn't really seem to have managed the roster that well in retrospect.

The 1987 Redskins too.
And there are similarities because these teams weren't quarterback centric either. Not in the sense that the quarterbacks didn't need to play well, they just weren't asked to be the focal point all the time and do everything. Kaepernick is plenty good enough to be a Super Bowl winning quarterback with as much talent as the Niners have in most areas. Of course when you have the best quarterback in the league like the Packers, you always got a pretty good chance regardless of the opponent. |

The battle of the Crabtrees! This is a tough game to pick. I think if the Packers weren't finally healthy, I would probably take the 49ers. I think it will be close. I can see it going either way. If Mason Crosby continues to struggle he may lose the Pack the game. On the other hand, Kaepernick will have to play a hell of a game. Those deep balls will be harder with Sam Shields and Charles Woodson playing and healthy.

It's gonna be a hell of a game - going Green Bay. Still not sold on Kaepernick.

How many has he played, 2?
And that New England defense he torched for 4 TD passes hasn't allowed 20+ points to anyone else since before Thanksgiving. I know you want to blow the Seattle game out of proportion, but it was just one game. Kaepernick is perfectly capable of being the quarterback to lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl this year. |

I'd like San Fran a lot more with Alex Smith playing. I still think making the switch was a bad call.

I really hope the Niners win this one. The Packers have that championship experience that makes them intimidating. The Niners look like prime rib.

I can't ****ing wait for this game. I think Aaron Rodgers is going to go crazy on us but that we just have to sustain it.
