Mark Messier???? Steve Yzerman???? (He'd never leave Detroit.) Ron Francis???? Glenn Freaking Healey???? THIS is who you want to be your GM?? After Ferguson proved so ****ing overmatched he put together a terrible, terrible team? Yeah, so why not bring in another inexperienced GM? Oh, I know why not: because the team will continue to suck. Fire Ferguson! Fire Peddie! Fire everyone! And then hire someone who knows what they're doing!
I hate everyone involved with the Maple Leafs at this point.

I dont even know if its that bad of an idea. The leafs have stunk for years, you guys need something fresh, something new. Instead of bringing in someone with experience, who will try to tweak your current roster, bring in a guy like Mess who wont be afraid to blow the team up. Make huge, questionable trades and bring a new face to the team.
Right now if I was rebuilding I'd be looking at Tampa. I dont think Brad Richards stock has ever been lower, although his contract is huge.

The best front office move that could happen to the Leafs is if that Russian billionaire oil-czar buys out the team for 1.5 billion dollars.

The best front office move would be if MLSE collapses because Larry Tanenbaum went and poured too much concrete somewhere and then I can buy the team for $19. I'd clean house. I promise you that.

What they need is a GM that will come in and put a clause that Peddie cannot interfere with the Leafs, that forces him to stay in mkt.
He only knows how to sell Apartments, he has no business being in the FO.
