If the Clippers don't trade either picks (#8 and #12), who do you guys see them drafting?
I'd say at #8: Nene Hilario
and at #12: Curtis Borchardt or Amare Stoudamire

PG: Derek Fisher, Jordan Farmar
SG: Kobe Bryant, Sasha Vujacic, Sun Yue
SF: Ron Artest, Luke Walton, Adam Morrison
PF: Pau Gasol, Josh Powell
C: Andrew Bynum, D.J. Mbenga
Yeah, now that you say it, I agree that Phoenix will take Stoudamire. He'd be a good fit, and could start PF for them.

The Clippers will trade 12 to Portland for Zach Randolph and Cash. They will probably do a similar deal with the 8th, sorry player and cash. They really need money to make thier players happy. Marko Jaric is looking for a contract worth 3 or 4mil.
I wouldn't mind if the Cavs took Hilario, but it really sounds like if Butler is still there (and he might be if Dunleavy goes 3, Gooden goes 4 - according to ESPN, and Den takes the Euro), the Cavs and Lucas were VERY impressed by him, and reportedly Butler had an EXCELLANT workout for Clev. He really lit it up on his jumpers, and they think he is advanced enough to start now.
Hilario was working out here, but the Cavs didn't seem overly impressed. What I gather is players the Cavs MIGHT have a choice of goes something in this order:
Butler
Gooden
Wilcox
Wagner
Hilario
That is the impression I get from all I see/read. BTW, my order would be: Butler/Wilcox/Hilario/Wagner/Gooden personally
(Of course this all could change if Andre is moved, but there hasn't been much local talk about that, neither has there been any references to Lamar Odom, or tanking next season to get a better shot at LeBron.)
The Clips aren't trading with Portland. That's been shot down. It was a false rumor.
The Clippers will select Nene Hilario at 8 if he's on the board(and he should be). If some chance he's gone, the pick will likely be Wagner.
At 12, come at me for it, but I think it'll be Wagner. 9-11 could easily overlook him(Stoudemire 9, Jeffries 10, and Woods 11). If not him, Borchardt(though doubtful), Stoudemire(if he fell), Jeffries, Woods, Rush(ties with Dooling and they need shooting) or Nachbar.
They may not trade for Randolph but I guarantee that they will trade atleast one of there picks. It wont be for a good player either. It will be a cheap salary and cash for the pick.
He's not exactly a sorry player. Yeah, he barely played, and was losing time to Shawn Kemp, but if you think back a few years Shawn Kemp was a superstar. Sure, he's not great now, but he's decent at least, and experienced. Randolph was a rookie, with only one year of college. He's got a lot of potential and would be a good player for the Clippers' third post player to backup Brand and Kandi.
Now, about their picks, if they don't trade them, I kind of like Rush, but only if they trade Maggette or QRich. In highschool he played on the same AAU team as Maggette, or QRich, or both. I know he played with one of them. I don't think he has any big ties with Dooling though. They only played together for a year. If Dooling's going to attract a player to LA because of previous ties it'll be Clarence Gilbert as an undrafted FA. I really wouldn't mind if they traded both picks for cheap veterans and future picks if it means they'll keep the players they have.
