Whatever guys, he still started for UNC and is in the NFL. Maybe he wasn't "great" for either and both teams were trash back then, but hey, he still did it. Who else starts at QB and PG?

You said he was a two-sport star, and he wasn't even close to it...

He was one of the top quarterbacks in the nation (if not the top) coming out of high school, and he was terrible. He didn't develop at all during his four years at UNC and was benched during his senior year.

Yes, he is in the NFL, but at a DIFFERENT POSITION. Regarding his football career at UNC, he was an absolute bust.

As far as basketball, he was a point guard that couldn't shoot or dribble...bit of a problem. This after being a VERY highly touted McDonald's All-American.

It was a little more than just speculation. Otherwise there would be no reason to have a press conference. His dad even said that football was still a possibility. I really think he made the wrong choice, but you gotta respect a guy that gives up stardome for his true passion.
