European U20 championship
only 2 games so far but Omri Casspi and Alexey Shved look like the 2 best prospects easily
they are the leading scorers so far and are a year younger than the comptetion plus have all the NBA tools
Luigi DaTome is solid but isn't more than a 2nd round pick IMO
Gino Cuccaralo is a 7 foot+ guy from Italy who's had pretty impressive numbers first 2 games but i've never seen him play so can't say anything

Re: European U20 championship
get what???
i've seen Omri Casspi and Alexey Shved play before because i have a friend in Russia who sends me a lot of European videos of different prospects
I haven't seen them play in this perticular tournament, yet
because it's only been 2 days but statistically they are above everybody(especially considering they were born in 1988)
if you wanna look at stats go to
www.fibaeurope-u20men.com/en/
they also post full game videos sometimes

Datome has all the tools too... he has to play consistent minutes at pro level, in the last 2 years his coach didn't play him much but he's still just 19... he's the offensive leader of the Italian Team.
Also take a look at our starter PG, Daniel Hackett, who next year will play the backcourt spot together with OJ Mayo at USC...

Cuccarolo is a 7-3 C born at the end of the 1987. Pretty raw body, not much strenght (too thin right now) but he has decent coordination and hands soft. He's averaging 11 ppg, 16.5 rpg and 1.5 bpg in just 20 mpg... not against particularly hard opponents but still impressive stats for an international competition like this U20 EC.

Re: European U20 championship
he aint 7'3 he is more like 7'1 but w/e
anyway Shved is dominating so far if he can lead russia to the championship and continue these numbers this will make him a likely lottery pick in 2008

Re: European U20 championship
it's meaningles to compare players stats. There are big quality differences between the teams and also between the groups.
Casspi and Shved are not by far the best talents here, they're good, but no better than Da Tome or especially Teodošić, Labović, Dragović which happen to be on a completely stacked team, but wouldn't have any troubles putting up those numbers in a less competitive team for example.
