Yeah most definitely. Being in So Cal and hearing his name everywhere, he's the real deal. He has Vince Carter written all over him.

LA's spoiled. Mayo and Love this year, DeRozan and Holiday next year?

Seems like a lot of future stars and a lot of future busts end up about the same: careers of a few years, bounce around a little, couple of nice years, a few bad ones. Most analysts and predictors would look pretty foolish if taken to task on things.
i sort of agree with you but i don't really see what that has to do with my post
can you explain??

also, what do you mean by guys gettin "knocked off an inch there or half step there"
and how does a star and bust have the same career or do you mean the way people project them pre-draft
like a lot of people saying so-so is gonna be a bust and so-so is gonna be a star and both guys end up having similar careers???

Re: 2009 draft

^ My post wasn't so much meant to specifically address yours, as much as that your note on Curry sent me on a tangent. The gist of my point is simply that the attention paid to certain aspects of players--for example, with Curry that he's too short unless he can play PG, which he probably can't--is ridiculous. As you said, if a guy can play, a guy can play. Many of the extreme judgments, good or bad, prior to the draft are stupid. They're more about the prognosticator talking **** than they are about real life.
