Mock Draft (With Explanations)

First round
1. Houston Rockets - Yao Ming - C - China (Almost done deal. They need a C and get the best one in the draft)
2. Chicago Bulls - Jay Williams - PG - Duke (Jay wants Chicago, Chicago wants Jay, there is no reason Chicago does not pick him)
3. Golden State Warriors - Mike Dunleavy - SF - Duke (Golden State gets immediate help with this pick. Jamison can now moce to 4.)
4. Memphis Grizzlies - Nikoloz Tstishvilli - SF - Italy (Memphis can wait for him to develop. Him and Gasol are their future.)
5. Denver Nuggets - Drew Gooden - PF - Kansas - (I don't think they should pick Gooden but they will. Can play 3-5 if you needed him to. Insurance if Dyess or Howard leaves)
6. Cleveland Cavaliers Caron Butler - SF - UConn - (Get immediate help. May convice Miller to sign for less)
7. New York Knicks - Chris Wilcox - PF - Maryland - (Really impressed with him and is the best big man left)
8. LA Clippers (from Atlanta) Nene Hilario - PF - Brazil - (Is their big man of the future. His athletisicm fits their style of play)
9. Phoenix Suns - Jared Jeffries - F - Indiana (His new added muscle means he can play the 4. He and Stoudemire are the only two 4's worth picking here and they don't want to wait on stoudemire)
10. Miami Heat - Dajuan Wagner - G - Memphis (Get the guard they have been looking for. Will add to their scoring.
11. Washington Wizards - Qyntell Woods - SF - Juco (they need someone when Michael leaves. One year learning from Jordan will help him)
12. LA Clippers - Curtis Borchardt - C - Stanford (Another big man as insurance if someone leaves. Best player left)
13. Milwaukee Bucks - Amare Stoudemire - PF - HS Senior (Can afford for him to develop, and when he does he will be special)
14. Indiana Pacers - Kareem Rush - SG - Missouri (Replacement for Reggie Miller. Best player left that is not a forward)
15. Houston Rockets (from Toronto) Bostjan Nachbar - SF - Italy (Fill another need. Nachbar has been getting a lot of consederation lately.)
16. Philadelphia 76ers - Melvin Ely - PF - Fresno St. (Fits Larry Brown's system. I don't know if Golden State has really gotten this pick yet though)
17. New Orleans Hornets - Jiri Welsch - G - Czech (Fine at the F positions. Need a backup G)
18. Orlando Magic - Marcus Haislip - PF - Tennessee (Wanted Stoudemire but get someone who can be even better)
19. Utah Jazz - Dan Dickau - PG - Gonzaga (Hope he can be anything like the other guard they got from Gonzaga.)
20. Toronto Raptors (from Seattle via New York) Frank Williams - PG - Illinois (Finally get a PG)
21. Portland Trail Blazers - Chris Jeffries - SG - Fresno St. (Could become their true "Kobe Stopper")
22. Phoenix Suns (from Boston) Casey Jacobson - SG - Stanford (This guy can shoot like crazy and they need that at the backup SG position)
23. Detroit Pistons - Fred Jones - SG - Oregon (Get some added athleticism)
24. New Jersey Nets - Rod Grizzard - SF - Alabama (Get another person that can run with Kidd)
25. Denver Nuggets (from Dallas) - Jason Jennings - C - Arkansas St. (They need a C and he will provide)
26. San Antonio Spurs - Carlos Boozer - PF - Duke (Could become starting PF once Robinson leaves and Duncan becomes C. Will complement Duncan well)
27. LA Lakers - Sam Clancy - PF - USC (Will be a very good PF for them. Size doesn't matter because they have Shaq. Finally get a PF)
28. Sacramento Kings - Nenad Kristic - C - Yugoslavia (Mini-Divac)

Second round
30. Chicago - Tayshaun Prince - SF - Kentucky
31. Golden State - Jamal Sampson - C - UCLA
32. Memphis - Faith Solak - C - Turkey
33. Denver - David Anderson - PF - Italy

35. Cleveland - Steve Logan - PG - Cincinati
36. New York - Jaun Dixon - G - Maryland
37. Atlanta - Smush Parker - PG - Fordham
38. Miami - Lazaros Papadopoulos - C - Greece
39. Washington (from Phoenix via Denver)Fredrick Jones - SG - Oregon
