Shaq to heat trade not good for either team...
Putting perspective in the Shaq heat deal, I came to think that really this trade has more bad implications then good for both teams, more neutral for the Lakers.
Miami seemed to be putting together a great team that would be on top of the east in the next few years, with lamar odom being one of the leaders, now miami has given up their long term future by getting shaq. Shaq is only gonna be good i think for 3 or 4 more years. and after that they're gonna have some big holes.
L.A. really got pretty minamal for shaq and just could've got better talent from a team that seemed to not be intrested, dare i say the bulls? but ended up with minimal young talent and are gonna now be at the lower end of the western conference and have put themselves in a bad position, kind of in a middle rebuilding process, which with these weak drafts, will make it hard to make progress to be back at the elite teams.
what do you guys think?

the key player in this trade is odom. odom's style of play is versatile and gives the lakers a # 2 guy behind kobe. if odom isnt involved this trade would never have gone down. the reason we are laoding up on players and draft picks is because thats what we deserve for letting the most dominant player go.

Not a good trade for the Heat???
Shaq/Wade is the BEST 1-2 punch in the East and maybe the NBA!!!We just traded a bag of peanuts for the most dominant player in the world!!!

Propose a trade where the Lakers could have gotten more. They couldn't have. Two up and coming young guys, a future pick and a solid veteran big man (who is also vastly overpaid) is a good trade for the Lakers.
There is no way that they could have traded Shaquille O'Neal and stayed a SERIOUS title contender. That is just completely unrealistic.

What? You were just recently *****ing about how you didn't want to give up Butler and Odom.

Bro, it's time for you to stop posting. You're the kind of fan I hate the most. When a player is on your team, they're God, but as soon as they leave, they're ****. Get a clue, please.

i think its good for both teams. since LA was gonna lose shaq either way they got some young kids that will be able to compete if kobe comes back to help out. as for the heat with wade coming into his second year and shaq being shaq they will be able to compete for a top spot in the east. the only way it turns out to be bad for either team is if neither make the playoffs and we all know that both team should be able to.

U people need to wake the **** up and get a clue!!!
Odom - was great!!!
CB4 - his knee is still a "?"!!!
B.G. - his knees and back are shot from playing C the last 3 seasons!!!
1st rounder - this pick is gonna suck!!!
Im not saying that any of these players suck (never have never will) but we just traded for the MOST DOMINANT player in the world, and we didnt have to give up an All-Star,Super-Star or Super-Rook!!!
In other words we traded a bag of peanuts for Shaq!!!
Do u get it now???
I find it hilarious that now that Shaq is on the Heat pretty much everyone in the world says hes gonna suck!!!
