Official Congrats to Miami Fans thread
You guys got Shaq. This thread isn't about the trade. Moreso about who you guys are NOW.
Please Miami fans....as a bulls fan accept my congratulations on a job well done and much future success and talk about what this means to Miami as a franchise. What do you see in the coming years? What are you expecting?
Let me re-iterate that I think your franchise is headed to new heights. Enjoy the ride. I can liken this to when the Bulls got Jordan. Obviously Shaq is much older...but you just knew it from DAY ONE. It's fun to watch Miami now and just know where they are headed.
Who do you expect to step up and be key role players out of your background of players? Is Rasual Butler the next Rick Fox? Can Jerome Beasley be more effective next to Shaq than a Samaki Walker?

PROPS TO HEAT FANS. This guy just brings another level of enjoyment. It feels good knowing you have a center on your team that makes 6'10" 280 pound guys tremble in fear. The shot of adrenaline you get just watching Shaq dunk all over some stiff like umm, Brian Grant is undescriable. Plus he is the only guy in the league who verbally abuses other players and teams in the press and they don't even respond back. He is the MAN and he will get 40-20 against the Lakers next year.

Congrats to the HEAT:
Your team just got 400 pounds heavier, but look in the bright side, you'll probably sell out every home game for the next 3 seasons

sseason tickets are already almost gone. I though I could get some later on in the summer. But the last couple says they have been selling like crazy. Shaq and the cheapest prices out of all nba teams make for a lot of sales

Wade accomplished this in two consecutive series in the 2005 playoffs.

3. Holds the record for being the only player in NBA history to ever average at least 30 points on 69.5 field goal percentage for four consecutive NBA playoff series games (5/23/06-5/29/06). The last record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 63%. Wade accomplished it with less than 20 field goal attempts per game
4. Fifth player in NBA history with at least 30 points, 15 assists and 5 rebounds in a playoff game (5/10/05 vs. WAS). The others are Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Walt Frazier and Oscar Robertson.
5. One of four players in NBA history to have at least 30 points and 12 assists in three consecutive games (November 24-27, 2006). The others are Oscar Robertson, Nate Archibald, and Kevin Johnson. [5]

That's funny, Just a couple of weeks ago Fatso got run off of the court by a 6'8" 250 pound guy in Detroit. And now he will see him 4 times a year!

Congrats to the heat, but this is a very sad day for lakers fans - he was maybe the greatest sports superstar in Los Angeles history.
But I wish all the best to Shaq. He's gonna look good in red and black.

But do you remember what "fatso" did to that certain 6'8 250 pound guy from Detroit? He dominated him. Check the stats. It was the other Lakers who couldnt do squat.
But going back on topic, Congrats Heat fans. Shaq was the most loveable guy on the team. As out of shape as he was, he was dominating, funny, and a really good guy in the L.A. community. I remember I read a story where Mark Madsen drove a '92 Toyota Previa to practice, and Shaq tells him that he doesn't want their 1st pick to drive an old van. So he bought him a Chevy Tahoe the next day.
If the Lakers dont win the championship , I hope the Heat do. Good luck Heat fans, make sure to go to at least one home game this season. Im buying my tickets ASAP for Heat vs Lakers at Staples, I have a feeling its gonna be the XMas Night game.

The version of the story I heard was Shaq took Madsen to buy a Chevy Tahoe, from Shaq's dealership. Madsen paid full sticker for it. Let's not forget Shaq is greedy, he doesn't give out cars.
Anyway, congrats Heat fans. Odom, Butler, Wade was a core that could take you to the playoffs, but you were never going to win a championship with that core. Shaq+Wade gives you a championship core to build around. You just need to fill in the holes now.
