Arenas is as good as Francis and will probably surpass him sooner than later. I think most teams in the East would take Jamison over Francis.
You really overrate your own team. I'd take Mobley over Hughes for his defense, Nelson over Blake, Cato over Haywood, and Gooden over Thomas (even though he just signed an offer sheet with another a team). You guys lost to the WORST team in the league FOUR times last year. That's just horrible. Even though the Wizards had a slightly better record I think it was clear who the better team was. Now, you guys add Jamison and you expect to make the playoffs? It's not going to happen.

Orlando never faced an even remotely healthy Washington team last year. One of the games we suited up 7 guys.
I don't think Mobley is a better defender than Hughes at all. When Hughes doesn't have to carry the offensive load he's a hell of a defender.
Nelson over Blake, it's arguable, Blake has already proven he's good backup PG, Nelson has not.
We're not just adding Jamison, we're looking at big improvement from Kwame Brown. It's his 4th year, he's been working all summer, reports are that he's developed a nice outside shot which is what he was missing last year. It's also a contract year for Haywood so I would expect him to be extra motivated. Also, you act like Jamison is a scrub, he's a highly efficient 20/8 player in the East and maybe an All-Star. The Wizards now have the best offensive team in the East, and one of the best rebounding teams in the East.
So, last year we had all the same posters claiming the Magic were a lock for the playoffs, and we all know how that turned out.
There's nothing wrong with rooting for your team and being optimistic. I'm just pointing out that many people can't objectively evaluate talent when it comes to their favourite team.
Last years team and this years team are two different topics. That is obvious and only people who have a basketball IQ of 1 would say other wise.

The Wizards remind me of the Bulls. You guys have young, talented offensive players that can't win. There are two things that will make the Wizards a lottery team once again. One, they won't be able to play defense at all. Two, they have injury prone players like Arenas and Hughes without capable backups. I thought that the Wizards were going to make the playoffs last year but I've realized that they are a team full of underachievers and cancers. Arenas, Hughes, and Jamison are all selfish losers.
It's not worth arguing with very possibly the biggest homer on this entire site. The Wizards are just like the Bulls. Every year their fans expect improvement, every year they continue to suck donkey balls. This year will be no different. You are going to look like a complete fool by this time next year, and we'll make sure of it.
And oh yeah, does anyone know what Kwame's best known quality is? HE'S A BUST, THAT'S WHAT!

Maybe he is the biggest homer, but his teams dont have hated players bit Magic do. While the guy takes the homerism title, you take suckers!

Biggest homer? Please name me what I said that is overly homerestic. I've presented nothing but facts for the most part. Last year the Wizards had their 3 best players miss 110 games, they probably would of won 10 more games if healthy, now their adding an All-Star calibur player in Jamison to and improvement from Kwame and Blake/Hayes, so I think playoffs are going to happen. Homers are Magic fans thinking their going to be a 4-6 seed.
Honestly, I don't think I've ever seen a team with so many talented players that you don't want to have on your team as the current Wizards. Trade for Glenn Robinson or Ricky Davis and you guys will be set. The Wizards have 3 guys capable of scoring 20 ppg consistently, possibly even 4. The problem is that none of those guys are ever on good basketball teams, the exception being Antawn Jamison, who was on the bench for the playoff team he was on last season. The guys on the Wizards are good individual players(not great) but horrible team players. On paper, they look like an OK team, but none of them can play defense(with the exception of Kwame, a decent low post defender) and all of them are going to want to be the man, and the number one scoring option. The Wizards just aren't going to work out as a cohesive unit, plain and simple.

Arenas has been a starter for two years, and had the Wizards in the playoffs before he got injured. It's way too early to say he hasn't been on a winning team. That Golden State team two years ago would of made the playoffs easily in the East. For Jamison, I wouldn't say that's a bad thing either because it's so hard to make the playoffs in the West. Ray Allen will probably never make the playoffs in his career in Seattle, but he's still a good player. Francis just last year made the playoffs for the first time at the age of 27? I think they'll bring in some defensive veterans before the season starts, and Arenas/Hughes/Jamison are all good friends so I don't see why their would be any chemistry problems. Hughes has shown he can be a roleplayer, as has Jamison, the offense will probably run through Arenas/Jamison/Kwame.
