That is such a big misconception its not even funny. Kobe has a team with more talent than either Tmac or AI has ever had. That being said he will gel with these guys and the Lakers will not be as bad as so many think.

when has either AI or tmac had teammates with the abilities ala Odom, Payton ( so he couldnt handle the triangle, but the triangle is out), and probably malone?? Lakers are fine, Kobe will prove everyone wrong.

AI lead a bunch of scrubs named snow, mckie, hill, mutombo, and jumaine jones to the finals. kobe's lineup of lamar, GP, payton, are all better than any of AI's teammates that year. kobe still won't get the lakers anywhere though. you guys heard the shaq interview on espn and about the lakers record with kobe and without. its something like 55-45 without shaq and 41-13 without kobe. kobe is a good individual player, but he sucks as a teammate and won't win anything being the main man.

I suggest you really look at those numbers closer. 41/13 for Kobe is a winning ratio of 75.92%. THAT is incredible! I mean 41 wins out of 54 games means that Kobe is helping his team WIN.

I think that is what BEEZ is trying to say. That saying "Kobe will know what it feels like" still isnt correct because he's still got a lot better players to work with than others did, Tmac in particular.

I know people need to think for themselves. It is like a theme was presented and people have jumped on it, damn the facts. Kobe and Odom are supposed to be lottery bound but AK47/Boozer are headed for greatness .

Well by the rationale of your post it sounds like Odom, Payton and Malone will be doing the proving......since Iverson made it to the Finals without anyone as good on his team.

Mutombo was a scrub? Didn't they have the DPOY and 6th man of the year in that seasonn?
