Either Walker or Harrington could easily slide over and play the 3, there's no problem there.

If they get Dampier and he's more than a one year wonder (i.e. he stays healthy back to back seasons), they compete for a playoff berth. Winning begets its own reward. If they're a playoff team with cap space they'll have better luck than they did this offseason as a losing franchise that tanked a season for Dwight Howard and earned the same reward Boston did for tanking in pursuit of Tim Duncan. So, if they're making a run at the playoffs, bravo for them, I wish them well.

Who said he couldn't?

Mike James already signed with Milwaukee so that makes Damon Jones a pretty strong possibility.
I think the Hawks could surprise people this year, and I think Mike Woodson will be a damn good coach.
Remember Doc Rivers first season in Orlando when they slashed their salary the year before getting T-Mac and Hill and still made some noise? Their best player was Darrell Armstrong. I think the Hawks could be in similar situation right now, and while the extra wins will hurt them in the lottery, it will help them in free agency like it did Orlando.

Stupid deal for the Mavs. Terry is a good player, but all this deal does is make you have even less of a front court. Sure, Walker's not that good, but his expiring contract is good. Cuban could have brought in a big name with the capspace Walker's contract would have had. And they'd still be a playoff team next year. Now it looks like they are less likely to make the playoffs.
|
Uh Terry only has 2 years left at 8 mil a year. Not that bad a deal, and they dont need a player like Walker to keep the ball out of Dirks hands and dance around the 3 point line.
If you think the Mavs are going to miss the playoffs, you're smoking something.
This Mavs team is still very deep.
Side note-
Walker has got to be pissed. He made it public that he wants out of Dallas a few weeks ago, thinking that he was going to NY or maybe philly. Cuban sends him to Atlanta, SO FUNNY.

Kenny Anderson has become a possibility, plus the Hawks are looking at Jon Barry and Bob Sura as well. Anderson was on 680 The Fan in Atlanta today, and he said that his agent has talked to Billy Knight. Kenny said he would love to play with Al Harrington and Antoine Walker in Atlanta.

Anyways, I like the combination of Walker/Harrington. They are both combo forwards, which I think would mesh well.

At this point I think Kenny Anderson would love to play for any NBA team that will take him!
