I actually like your Utah trade idea. I think it could help both teams. Utah loves sharpshooters and has missing Jeff H. ever since he retired. Sac town would be tough as nails if they added Bell and AK47. Both of these trades aren't bad ideas if people don't agree, that is fine...but they are better than most people come up with.

Phoenix would reject it, yes. However, there is no way that Utah would turn down that deal. The Kings, on the other hand would just be stupid to trade Christie and Peja to the Jazz for AK47, Bell and a guy who has yet to do ANYTHING. Plus, both of those deals don't work under the cap.

What? No way in hell Utah accepts that trade. Kirilenko is potential superstar! Peja is just a really good shooter..
AK47 >>> Marion, seriously.

They played nearly identical minutes and Marion produced better in every non-shooting category. Like I said before, Marion does the little things that don't show in stats. He's 10 times more athletic than Peja and hustles more. Peja can get you points, but I'll take the guy who does it all. Marion has no weaknesses.

Don't be stupid.....
Peja led his team to a 55-27 record and one of the best teams in the league.
Marion "led" his team to a 29-53 record.
That's all that needs to be said.
Peja >>>>> Marion

Phoenix basically gave up on the season when they traded Marbury. Peja had a lot of guys to help him get to that record. What till this year.
Damian, Utah will not give up their franchise player for someone that is only good at shooting 3's.

Why would a team give up after they gave up Marbury? Is that because they knew that Marion wasn't capable of leading his team to a winning record? And it was a lost cause without their LEADER Marbury?

Washington trades: C Brendan Haywood (7.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 19.3 minutes)
PG Gilbert Arenas (19.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 5.0 apg in 37.6 minutes)
SF Jarvis Hayes (9.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 29.2 minutes)
Washington receives: PG Bobby Jackson (13.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 23.7 minutes)
PG Peja Stojakovic (13.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 23.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -22.4 ppg, -9.9 rpg, and -5.0 apg.
Sacramento trades: PG Bobby Jackson (13.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 23.7 minutes)
PG Peja Stojakovic (13.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 2.1 apg in 23.7 minutes)
Sacramento receives: C Brendan Haywood (7.0 ppg, 5.0 rpg, 0.6 apg in 77 games)
PG Gilbert Arenas (19.6 ppg, 4.6 rpg, 5.0 apg in 55 games)
SF Jarvis Hayes (9.6 ppg, 3.8 rpg, 1.5 apg in 70 games)
Change in team outlook: +22.4 ppg, +9.9 rpg, and +5.0 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
Due to Washington and Sacramento being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Washington and Sacramento had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out unless trade exceptions were used for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Lots of these deals may sound good on paper but simply dont fit into the teams salary cap, however the one that appears most impealing for both clubs would a be an Artest for peja trade straight up. Sactown needs the defense and peja wants out anyways and for indinia to get a outside scorer and perimeter 3 point man such the calibur as peja seems fitting. Espicially when Larry bird has been quoted as saying hes looking for some outside guys. And who is better then peja???

I agree that Marion is a more complete player than Peja, but the exact opposite of what was said in this thread is true - Marion is the role player and Peja is the franchise player.
Would any of you take Eddie Jones over Reggie Miller? Remember, in their prime, Jones had way more athleticsm , much better defense, better handle, slightly better rebounder, better at creating his own shots and overall the complete package to Miller's great offense and limited contributions in other areas. I tell you what, I'd take the skinny 3-pt specialist in a heatbeat. Why? Miller was the franchise while Jones was a very good role player.
In my book, anyone who can fight with AI and TMac for the scoring title is a franchise player. In fact, I expect Peja to get 25 to 27 ppg if he gets traded to a mildly talented team.
