Peja&O'Neal would be the best inside/outside combo in the league.
They would just make each other that much better, and thats scary considering they finished 3rd and 4th in MVP voting this past season.
Either way, Indy's a top-contender, so it really doesn't matter to me.

I agree that the kings should just pull the trigger. FRIGGIN RON ARTEST!!
As for the Peja and Ron artest making the ideal SF, well, Artest is a lot closer to being that ideal SF than you think. He shuts down his opponent while putting up 18 points efficiently. He's also not a bad shooter from the oustide. Granted Peja is a way better shooter, but he doesn't understand the word defense.
If Kings landed artest then they should consider Peja wanting to leave a blessing because they get the best defender in the league who is also capable of scoring. Also expect Artest's fg% and 3p% to go way up if he goes to Sac-town. Something about their system...

This trade would benefit both teams, but it would favor the Kings.
Kings would finally get the offense they'd need to go deeper into the playoffs. Doug and Artest would harrass the other team. This trade would benefit the Kings more.
Indiana gets perimeter threat Peja, but lose Artest, who had a good offensive boost last season.

You could argue that Artest is more efficient, being a DPOY who can hinder the opponent and score, too.
But with Peja and JO, Indy would have two very good options on offense, and their team defense wouldn't plummet since they'd still have JO and some solid defenders, plus Carlisle as the coach.
We'll see.

Yup, this trade will be done within the next week, or it won't be done at all...

It pretty much boils down to this, would you rather have the defensive player of the year, who averages over 18 points a game or someone that averages 24 points per game and has doesn't have much to offer with defense if anything. I think the pacers would be crazy to make this trade. Artest is a more well rounded player.

Pacers lose Harrington and Artest, their team d is going to take a dip. I see them winning around 50 games, not 61 again.
Kings should be praying for Artest.
