Pacers offering Artest for Peja (unofficial)

The latter hurdle becomes even greater for the Bulls because Indiana is said to be offering former Bull Ron Artest, who is the reigning defensive player of the year

Not a bad trade value-wise for each time. Although, I don't think Artest is the type of player SAC is looking for.
Although Artest would bring instant toughness to the questionably-tough Kings, I'm not sure that he would fit into the atmosphere they have created in Sacramento.

I agree. If the Pacers are offering Artest for Peja, simple as that, I don't see why a deal won't be done very soon. The Kings are probably going to shop a bit to see if that's the best they can do though, so I would think there won't be an announcement tomorrow or anything.

I'd do it in a heartbeat. Problem is, does Peja want to go to Indiana? He has expressed interest in Chicago and other places where he can relate to the ethnic roots there. That's apparently why he really wants out of Sacramento, the Maloofs not keeping Divac.
Hopefully for the Kings they can get Artest.

Yeah, the Kings better hope to get Artest. And it's not even a surprise because when Vlade signed with the Lakers you could sort of see this turmoil with Peja coming. Then add onto that the comments from Webber. King's door is closing real fast. But the real question is, will the King's be as good as they are with Artest instead of Peja? Will Indiana be as good as they were with Peja?
