Melo is good but not Lebron...and you're saying that Lebron if he breaks his knee will be out of the league faster than lavor postell puts up shots....dude lebron owns melo...bron is probably the best athlete in the nba.... bet you if melo gets a knee injury he will suck dramatically and will be so f' in bad....also darko was 17 when he was drafted....he has a lot of time to improve...and the pistons didn't need him to play that much cuz their front cout was stocked...i bet you if the pistons had picked melo, they wouldn't have won the title cuz melo can't play d like prince can.

3-LeBron fans: Most of them disrespect the kid because he can't jump as high as LeBron, or that he was the real rookie of the year for leading his team to the playoffs in the West. They are mad that Melo is primarily a skill player who can likely play until he is 40 like Stockton, unlike Bron who with a knee injury would be out of the league faster than Lavar Postell jacks up shots. It's ridiculous.

Darko isn't a bust, so you lost most of your credibility there.
Oh by the way, Melo's team was better, he didn't have Ricky Davis on his team, and his starting PG was never injured.
Melo seems to have a quitter's attitude, so odds are he wouldn't have done anymore than LeBron did.

Well that's your opinion. I think he is a bust personally, but hopefully he can prove me wrong as he is in the perfect situation to succeed, the league does need good big men.

Maybe it was in fact Melo that gave his team the edge.

It's not my opinion that Darko isn't a bust, it's a FACT. Why would you label a guy a bust after 1 year under a coach who hates to play rookies? A bust is a Leon Smith or quite possibly a Jonathan Bender. Darko is far from it.
Melo did have a better team, it's pretty clear in my eyes. Everyone in Denver had their place set in stone before the season started. LeBron was shifting back and forth between positions, he had to deal with Ricky Davis, etc.
In my opinion, LeBron and Melo should have gotten Co-ROY. They both had great seasons and helped their teams quite a bit. Denver however wasn't on a roller coaster ride during the season like Cleveland was.

How can it be a FACT that Darko isn't a bust? Right now, it's an opinion, and I feel that Darko is a bust right now. .262 FG%, .583 FT%, doesn't show much potential there. He should at least try to play when he's out there instead of bricking most of his jumpers and missing free throws.
Yes, I feel it should've been co ROY, Melo was clutch at the end of the season to get his team into the playoffs, by beating Portland and ending their consecutive years of playoff apperances. Same with beating the Jazz. Lebron couldn't even make the playoffs in the East, but he did improve the team. I still don't think it was fair voting, just because of that one game that Carmelo decide he didn't want to go back into.
