Why not move T-Mac to 3?
Why not? He is a natural 3. He came into the league as a 3, he played 3 when he came off the bench in Toronto. He would go from one of the worst defenders at the 2 guard to one of the best at the three. Instead of dominatinng the ball from the wing, he can either slide down into the corner and slice both zone and man defenses when cutting. The point is to get him to the hoop more and draw more contact. He also is an excellent ballhandler which would make him a nice point forward type. With Yao in the fold, shouldnt T-Mac be more Pippen than Jordan? And yea he would lose about 5 ppg, buti nstead of going one on one most of the game, he gets a lot more room in the halfcourt to catch and shoot so is FG% goes up. I've been testing my theory on NBA Live, running the statue of liberty give and go with Yao and its unstoppable! Yao has 17 assists! Anybody against this?

him and jim jackson will switch assignments depending on matchups. in that respect, he will be a 2 and 3. he is listed as a guard for allstar balloting...he wouldnt start over duncan or kg at foward, so he and kobe will be starters in the backcourt. besides.....whats in a name? a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet....

Agreed. And he has all the tools to be one of the BEST defenders at the 2 spot. I see no reason to change his position. The Rockets still need his scoring and even if he did play 3 he woulld guard 2's.

Its quite simple really. Jim Jackson is better than Bob Sura and McGrady wil put up all-star numbers at either position. So you go with Jackson at three and McGrady at two.

Does his being a "cheater" to get one more triple double sounds appealing to you?

Wouldnt it make more sense for Jackson at 2 since his main game is spot up shooting, midrange and 3pt? Seems like a waste to give him the duties of a 3 (rebounding ballhandling and slashing)

Yes, But Jackson is slower than most 2 guards, so they would go right past him. SF's are typically slower than SG's, so since Tmac is faster than jackson it makes more sense to play him at the 2.
