Completely agree.
Antoine Walker is a better passer than KG. Just look at their Assists per 48 minutes:
Walker- 6.24
KG- 6.09
|
Walker was a roleplayer on a team with immense offensive capabilities (aside from himself). Garnett was the superstar with roleplayers playing alongside him. You can't use a difference of .15 per 48 minutes alone to suggest that Antoine is a better passer.
82games.com Passer Ratings has
Garnett: 6.4
Walker: 5.1

I know. Clearly Garnett is the better passer. No arguments there. I was just being sarcastic.

Edit - I am assuming everyone's healthy, otherwise, Odom goes up to 2nd team and Antoine Walker moves into his place. Also, I think Richard Hamilton is an underrated passer.

WHAT?? Have you ever watched basketball??
Iverson is not that great a passer, cant make half the passes Jwill makes.
Tmac on the 2nd team? No way, Pierce is not a good passer either.
I agree on some of your selections, but some are way off.

I'm sorry, but that list is garbage.

True, I never watch basketball.
I rated players according to the position they play. You may disagree with some of my selections but they're not as outrageous as you make them sound.

How is that list garbage? Well, first of all, Marc Jackson is #1 and Marbury is #2. Neither of them are as good passers as Kidd, and that's not even arguable. Marc Jackson has had a great career as a passer, but to have him even close to top 5 in the league is ludicrous.

In his prime Mark Jackson was one of the best passers in the league. Surely you know that. So you think he's lost his passing skills with old age? That isn't how it works. He is still the same passer as he was in 96' when he averaged 12.3 dimes a game. Something Kidd has never done. I gave Marbury the edge over Kidd because I think he's slightly more effective in the half-court game, and because if he wanted to I think he could pick up more assists than Kidd. He has better passing skills than Kidd I just think he chooses to be more of a scorer.
