I have to give Terry Cummings and Tom Chambers love, even though I NEVER heard of them before BBR and WIS.com. Sad.
But McHale... even with just Parish that would've been one of the great frontlines ever (and McHale was the better one). 60% for a premier player is really good, especially without a great PG.

I dont know where anywhere in this thread I said Tom Chambers was better. All I did was give reasons about Tom Chambers being a very good player

This vote is alot closer than I thought it would be.
McHale is a level above Chambers as a player, perhaps more. Chambers was a nice player. Versatile 6'10" player with range and athletic ability. Great scorer, pretty good rebounder, made 4 all-star games. Had the reputation as selfish and tough to deal with at times.
McHale is in the discussion of greatest power forward of all-time. Low post repertoire rivaling that of Hakeem, mindboggling footwork. 7 time all-star, 1 all-nba first, made the all-defensive teams. Very good shotblocker (not as good as Larry Nance), a bit of a black hole on offense, good rebounder. Not all-worldy numbers (but did play with Parish and Bird). His statistics are tamed somewhat because he was a 6th man for the first three years of his career (split time with Cornbread Maxwell). He broke his foot in 87/88 and played through the playoffs on it. He was never really the same player again, although he was still quite good.

mchale was ridiculous. Some of the best post moves I've ever seen. It's really really really close but I'd go with mchale over chambers.

McHale was an innovator at PF/C - a man of 1000 post moves. Hakeem learned his moves from McHale.
McHale was a prime time defender. He drove his opponents crazy, as Barkley will attest to.
Chambers was a good scorer and decent rebounder, if my memory serves me correctly. I don't remember him having more than 1 or 2 post moves.
Comparing them is like comparing Alonzo to Eddy Curry - in my mind's eye.

I cannot believe its this close
Not even an argument for me -- McHale was by far the better player... a better team player, a better defensive player and a more efficient one at that.
