6'11 257? That sounds like a C to me. I always thought he was a PF prospect. I didn't realize he was so big.

The hawks have a decent team this year, and i doubt that Howard even comes close to averaging 10/10. This is only one preseason game i don't know why people are getting so hyped about this preseason game. Howard will probably end up being good, but will NOT come close to D Rob and will probably be a step below Chris Bosh.

WHY NOT? why cant he average 10/10?and a step below chris bosh? tell me the stats of chris bosh in his very first nba game or preseason game....man dont say he WONT cuz the way he's goin so far and still only 18 he's well on his way..for the footsteps of d-rob and maybe kg and WELL BEYOND chris bosh
anyways......18/9 very impressive for the rookie maybe he's not so raw and not as big of a project

Just because he might end up being better than KG or at worst be a Kwame doesn't mean you have to rip on the guy...jeez.

all of the dwight supporters here are taking this too far, this is like saying Marcus Fizer put up 20 rebounds in the final game of last season, i think hes gonna average 15-17 this year. Its one game, and its a PRESEASON game, it doesnt mean much, he was probably just having a good night, dont try to turn him into sumthing hes not

Yeah, there's no way he averages 18 ppg this year, but he could average 17 ppg? Come on now, no one said anything out of the ordinary. The boldest prediction I saw someone say was that he would win the ROY, which is entirely possible. Somebody else said he could get 1 triple-double this season, that also is entirely possible. What's with the posts that say stop trying to turn him into something he's not, when nobody in this thread has said he would dominate this year or anything like that.

Who is blowing it out of proportion? He put up very good numbers for a first preseason game for a straight out of HS player. I don't see anyone saying any more than that. I doesn't mean a whole lot, but it also isn't something to be blindly dismissed. Just some proof that Dwight could very well be a ROY candidate for which most people had already written him off.

18/9 for a center these days is like MVP. Im sure he wont put up those #'s in the season, but i think he may turn out better than everyone thinks.
