Mavs Stat of the day (defense in preseason) last mav thread today
http://www.nba.com/mavericks/stats/
teams are shooting 40 percent from 2 and 30 percent from 3 against the mavs so far this preseason.
the mavs are also outrebounding opponents again 45 to 41
as well as averaging almost 7 blocks a game.

The Mavs were the top rebounding or among the top rebounding teams in the last year as well...
I am not sure what your point is but..
Phoenix leads the league in scoring, leads the league in winning margin at almost 20, is 4th in opp FG% (Mavs are only #8), 4th in bpg (Mavs are only 8th), 3rd in opp TO, 29th in TO, 1st in TO difference, #1 in foul differential, #8 in assist differential....
... hand us the trophy, c'mon

if this was 50 games into the regular season. that would be great. seeing how its 4 games into the preseason, i think i just wasted 1 minute of my life replying to this worthless thread.

and all of those stats will change come reg season. This thread was simply to show that the mavs re improving defensively and once the reg season starts your suns will be no higher than 20th in defense. they can score but nash can't guard ANYONE.

So the stats will change for the Suns... But it won't change for the Mavs Where is your basis for this?

Tue 19 @ San Antonio Preseason W 104 - 96 3-0 A. Stoudemire 25

the suns haven't really faced a good "offensive team" and they faced the sonics without lewis.
they don't have any type of shotblocker whatsoever in the middle and have a shot at a 7 or 8 seed IMO. They don't really have any shooters outside of nash and that's gonna be a problem

The Suns remind me of a poor-man Mavs team from last year

turnovers like crazy the first 2 games. they are taking care of the ball better now. if not for that teams would be averaging about 90 points cause they wouldn't get as many transition opportunities. OFG would drop even lower

i really wanted to say that but I didn't. the main diff is the suns don't have as many good shooters as the mavs did last year. They have nash and then streak shooters and then a team full of slashers.

Yeah, good point. What I really meant was that the Suns will have to outscore their opponents if they want to win, not lock them down. They also both have suck-*** centers

no doubt. That's how the suns will win. They will be fun to watch and I plan on going to the mavs/suns game this year just to see nash play against his old team
