Suns aren't trading Joe Johnson for Nene. Period.
OK , lets go for it:
Points - Nene scored 11.8 in 32.5 minutes , while JJ scored 16.7 in 40.6 miutes - that means per 48 minutes Nene scores 17.4 and JJ scores 19.7.The big diference is that Nene does it 0.53 fg% (2nd in league?!) while JJ does it in 0.43 fg% (and 30% from 3p) - Clear advantage to Nene(hits higher rate and score closely the same).
Rebounds - Nene 6.5 (9.6 per 48) and JJ 4.7 (5.5 per 48) - clear adv Nene (as should be)
Assists - Nene 2.2 (3.25 per 48) and JJ 4.4 (5.2 per 48) - adv JJ (as should be)
Stls - Nene 1.51 (2.23 per 48 while a year before he had 2.7 per 48) while JJ (the sg!) has 1.13 (1.33 per 48) - clear adv Nene (even from frontcourt he beats JJ in stls!)
Blks - Nene with 0.53 (0.78 per 48 , a year before he had 1.38 per 48) , JJ 0.32 (0.38 per 48) - clear adv Nene
TO - Nene 2.38 JJ 2.43
and Nene is more then a year younger
Total efficiency Points - Big advantage Nene!!!
Mostly because of FG %.
So tell me , what has JJ proved Nene has not???
Not to mention the fact u always seem forget - if efficiency was exactly even between 2 players(which is not in this case) , one big one small , the big guy has the higher value!
thats just the way it is , like it or not , there r less 6-11 260 athletic guys then 6-7 sg's .
and for some reason u also keep forgetting Suns signed Q for a long time and last I heard he plays SG - do Suns need 2 good players (don't get me wrong , I do think JJ is a good player) in the same position and Jake Voskuhl at Center (clearly not good enough to be a serious playoffs team) , or maybe they could "settle" for Q (I wish Bulls had only 1) at SG and put another efficient big man next to explosive Amare - to get ballance in starting 5:
Nash/Q/Matrix/Amare/Nene
and still have Jacobson to backup Q (yes,he ain't close to JJ , but a nice backup - heck , I wish my Bulls had Suns 3rd in rotation SG) and nice backups at all positions(Barbosa,Caparnaka,Lampe,Jake)
Not to mention next year is JJ's contract year , and he's asking for alot , do U think Suns will pay 2 SG's big money - personally I'm not sure how high they'd go to match , so it's a great solution for Suns to trade him for true worth , in the only starter position Suns lack.
IMHO - Suns would be stupid not to do this deal...
I agree with Amareca, Nene hasn't proved much yet. He's only 6'9-6'10" , he is not a Center. Having both of them in the frontcourt would clog the middle, much like the Randolph/Rahim situation.....They are both low-post scoeres and need to be on the blocks to be effective, and it's just not working.
Phx team right now has awesome potential, I would not touch it. Though, I would look get get a legic Center to start or back up Jake w/o giving up JJ.
I wish people would just stop proposing Nene trades, because he isn't going anywhere. Kiki isn't an idiot, he's not going to dump one of the best big man prospects in the NBA for a barely-above-average shooting guard.
Kiki got the Nuggets where they are today by making the smart long-term decisions, not by making dumb trades out of desperation. Voshon Lenard wasn't that great anyway, there are plenty of rebuilding teams around the league that would be happy to dump a veteran SG for someone like Skita or Elson.

couldnt have said it better murphy...just a waste of time...i created...ways around trading Nene thread...and nobody is interested in it......because everyone wants to steal this guy...they dont care about Denver in 3 or 4 years

I don't think Qrich is all that good. At all. In fact I think he sucks. He is a poor man's Jrich but in the running game would excel. Nene and Amare would be a brutal front court. The most Physical Front court in the league.

So you think he's better prospect than Bosh for example ?
Nene is not a better prospect than Chris Bosh. You just took a comment that had nothing to do with Raptors and took it as an insult to Bosh. Why? Who knows.
I don't think people understand how good of a defender Nene was last year, and how useful he would be to a team like the Suns. Phoenix looked great against two teams without much post scoring, and they should make the playoffs by beating up on teams like that, but when they play better teams, I doubt they'll win very often. It might be exciting for some people who think Johnson is worth more than Nene to say "I told you so" when Johnson has a great game and Nene is injured, but that's just not true at this point.

I proposed a deal between Orlando and Denver, that I thought could work. The deal is Mobley and a future first for Nene and Skita. Now before you jump all over me, here me out. This also helps because Denver is high on Athur Johnson and Francisco Elson as the back-ups. Also, they could probably pick up someone decent for the minimum like Bo Outlaw to play defense.
Now from an Orlando perspective, you ask well why would they trade Mobley for Skita and Nene. Well Orlando is trying to build around young phenom and bringing in two young guys like Skita and Nene (a bookend of Nene and Howard could be special in this league) helps the Orlando youth movement. Not to mention, that with Hill, Turkoglu, Augmon and Stevenson, the Magic have enough on the wing to make up for the loss of Mobley, especially if Nene and Skita can do anything. Under this scenario, Brandon Hunter would be waived.
Denver trades: Nene Hilario ( ppg, rpg, apg in minutes)
SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 7.9 minutes)
Denver receives: SG Cuttino Mobley (15.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.2 apg in 40.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +13.1 ppg, +2.9 rpg, and +2.9 apg.
Orlando trades: SG Cuttino Mobley (15.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 3.2 apg in 40.4 minutes)
Orlando receives: Nene Hilario ( ppg, rpg, apg in games)
SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (2.7 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 0.3 apg in 39 games)
Change in team outlook: -13.1 ppg, -2.9 rpg, and -2.9 apg.
TRADE ACCEPTED
Due to Denver and Orlando being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Denver and Orlando had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
The rosters would look like this (main rotation):
Denver:
PG - Andre Miller... Earl Boykins
SG - Cuttino Mobley... Dermarr Johnson
SF - Carmelo Anthony... Rodney White
PF - Kenyon Martin... Arthur Johnson
C - Marcus Camby... Francisco Elson
11th-12th man: Greg Buckner, Byron Russell
Orlando:
PG - Steve Francis... Jameer Nelson
SG - Hedo Turkoglu... Deshawn Stevenson
SF - Grant Hill... Stacey Augmon
PF - Dwight Howard... Tony Battie
C - Nene... Kelvin Cato
11th-12th man: Skita, Andrew DeClerq
I think this is a decent deal for both teams, especially since Orlando would deal a first round pick too.
