I voted with the majority so far, yes, but it's overused.
For example, the Spurs would run an isolation play at the end of a quarter almost 95% of the time when they had the ball to close a quarter. 80% of the time, we came away with nothing. It's situations like this that lead me to believe that isolation is overused, because I've personally failed to see that it's more effective than just running a regular damn play at the end of a quarter.

Yes, but it's overused. I like to see great players take people off the dribble one on one (or even one on two sometimes), but good team basketball with good passing, spacing, cutting, and movement in general is much more fun to watch. For example, the Kings' offense is exactly the kind I love to watch. If they were a better defensive squad, they'd probably be my favorite team (outside the Lakers).

It's overused. Only the elite players in the league should have isolation plays ran for them. Guys like Jerry Stackhouse have made a career off isolation(the guy CAN'T do anything on offense without the ball in his hands), and simply put he's just not good enough to do that and help a team win games.

I like it at end of quarter situations, but not the rest of the time

Wade accomplished this in two consecutive series in the 2005 playoffs.

The last record was held by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar with 63%. Wade accomplished it with less than 20 field goal attempts per game
4. Fifth player in NBA history with at least 30 points, 15 assists and 5 rebounds in a playoff game (5/10/05 vs. WAS). The others are Magic Johnson, Jerry West, Walt Frazier and Oscar Robertson.
5. One of four players in NBA history to have at least 30 points and 12 assists in three consecutive games (November 24-27, 2006). The others are Oscar Robertson, Nate Archibald, and Kevin Johnson. [5]

Jermaine O'Neal isolation in the post. Pretty damn exciting to watch IMO. Same with KG.
Now Tim Duncan isolation, that's pretty damn boring.

Word to big bird. Catch, reverse pivot, textbook bank shot off the glass and half the time he draws the foul. Pretty. Catch, turn, up and under ala Kevin McHale plus the finish? Pretty. Duncans post game is by far the most finesse and best to watch. Guys like Shaq and Amare have the power post game, which is also fun to watch in its own way, its always fun to see defenders get completely demoralized. But lets be real, Duncans post game is a thing of beauty.

Teams can't run proper iso most of the time based on aspects of the zone defense. Ie help defenders cheating.
If there was no zone, and the old illegal defense rule was back, players like Iverson, Kobe, Mcgrady would abuse their man more often.
Good team ball is essential to a winning club, but I think iso is needed at times.

I like watching Duncan too. He's almost fun as watching Hakeem back in day versus Robinson. Just because he doesn't sream and yell every time he scores doesn't he's not fun to watch.

If it wasn't for isolation, How would Jordan have hit so many shots?

Duncan's post game is too fundamental and boring. It is excellent but I can't stand it for some reason.
