Wrong rating on defenders on this board
IMO, these are bad defenders (below average), but rated as good defenders on this board:
M Finley
E Jones
S Marion
PJ Brown
S Francis
L Sprewell
I watched them play last season and this season.

marion is a bad defender? LOL!
fin has only played 5 games this year and most of them were only televised locally unless you got league pass. francis isnt a good defender. jones is past his prime he sux at everything right now. ditto with brown

I evaluate based on their performance last season and this season.

Sprewell USED to be a very good defender. He's not bad now, but he's not what he used to be.
And I'm pretty sure Jordan has always said Joe Dumars played the best defense on him.

uh, I've heard Jordan say Sprewell was the best at defending him and I still remember it
Of course he's not the same, lol he's 33 years old thats really obvious, but he's still a guy that can guard PG's SG's SF' and do it well
Maybe Jordan didnt want to admit how Pistons owned him?

Finley, Marion and Jones aren't bad defenders. I think Jones is overrated but he isn't bad. Marion is actually pretty good and Finley is decent, he just gets a bad rep for being on the Mavericks. He is their best perimeter defender after Howard probably.
