The fascination behind the Chicago Bulls..
I'm all for the Bulls and everything, but..
Why is it that the Chicago Bulls forum is the most active?
Why is it that the Chicago Bulls seem to be the most talked about team in this forum?
I mean, considering their record and everything..

Why is it that they still get 18,000 fans to fill the arena and Orlando only gets 14,000?

Well the Bulls have a bunch of masochists for fans. Michael Jordan was a bigger impact than people believe. Just think for as many Bulls fans he created, that many left the bandwagon.

I think it just goes to show that fans from the dynasty era have remained loyal to their team, which is great. The Bulls had a huge fanbase when Jordan played, and the fact that they're still quite popular goes to show that their fans didn't just hop off the bandwagon when times got tough.
The popularity of the Portland board, however, is simply an unexplained mystery.
Just joking guys.

the lakers are big on this board also, i really dont get the fascination with the bulls(present day), they are hardly ever on national cable either. one thing i think that a lot of people like is so many young high draft picks, if they were a veteran bunch that couldnt win like the hornets i dont think they would get the same buzz, i have to agree with the masochist theory.

New York happens to be very populated as well, but their forum is dead.

Once the Bulls suck for another 10 years, which they will, they'll go back to being a normal fanbase.

You could see it that way, or you could see it the way I see it: we're incredibly loyal.
We do have a lot of bandwagon fans, but nowhere near the amount in L.A. And even with our bandwagon fans, add those to the fans that are already loyal and we have one hell of a fanbase (when we're winning of course).

Wanna bet? (Not that we'll suck for another ten years, that we'll still have a huge fanbase).

You guys are definitely loyal. I was kidding with the masochist remark. As I said though, the amount of bandwagon Bulls fans are gone now. There used to be so many. Still a lot now, but nowhere near as much. They just moved to the Lakers or the Spurs or whoever is hot.
I don't think Bulls fans realize how unbearable it was being in NYC going to school, while the Bulls were always beating the Knicks. Just nauseating. I hated the Bulls with a white hot passion and I'm not even a true Knick fan. I just liked Patrick Ewing.

That's because they all flocked to RealGM. Check out the Knicks board over there...

Atleast Chicago is a big city and coming off one of the greatest dynasties ever, the true wonder is Portland. How is that forum the 2nd most active?
