Something I'd like to see for the U.S. Olympic team in '04...

...a spot on the team given to Alonzo Mourning for about 15 mpg or so. He is the type of guy that could be a force in limited minutes, being probably the toughest presence you'd find in the Olympics. Also, he'd do a fine job of representing the USA, and I just think it would be great to see happen. It would be a nice way to finish his playing days (since he probably won't be coming back, or if he does, not for many more years). Whether you love him or hate him, Alonzo's the man!

He is one heck of a player, but doubt he will be able to do it even.

I think it would be a good idea, but everytime that young man goes for the rest of his life to play extended minutes of bball his life may be shortened that much more

If it's going to hurt Zo's body the NO,
but the team could consider giving him a spot in the team, or even like assistant coach, and he can have his share of being on the team and the joy of winning Olympic gold medal to finish his career.
