While I don't think Tim Thomas is a horrible player, he is not even close to Marion in terms of contribution to an NBA team. Marion does everything and he does it all very well.

Tim Thomas has been a disappointment since he got in the league. He has always had a lot of potential and he has never lived upto it. A 6'10" guy with his athleticism and ability should have been a perenial All-Star. Instead he is just a decent player but one that can not be counted on.

This trade will never happen but if it did I would be happy. It would be set the Suns back a few years. Not that I don't like the Suns but anything which makes it better for the Mavs is good by me.

haha no he's not. joe johnson, amare, nash are all more important. which makes marion the fourth most important person on the team, which is pretty far down in basketball terms.

Tim Thomas going to average ridiculous numbers this year, whether it's effective or not, because it's his contract year and that's what he does.

If this trade did happen, Thomas would have a career year with Phoenix. He'll probably replace Richardson's production from last year. Let's see if someone would overpay again.

Actually, Marion is one of the most important player in the Suns line-up.

The suns are built so that they have 4 major contributors. Marion is probably one of the 3 main pillars that will greatly affect the suns if he goes missing.

JJ is an excellent player and makes things easier for the suns, but last year because of Amare's, Marion's, and Nash's plays... players like Jimmy Jackson was able to fit in for JJ. But thats not taking away anything from JJ. Because with Q gone, he will be THE MAIN 2 in the team, and specialists shooter and versatile ball handler.


Marion had plenty of games where he was the MAIN difference that pushed the suns for the win. 1 bad playoff series against Bruce Bowen doesnt make him a liability. He still did averaged 11 rebound and played great defense, he's one of a kind in this league.
