Yea, that was amazing. Too bad Thompson had a screwed up life off the court, he was an amazing athlete. Didn't Jordan say that Thompson was the guy he tried to be like? Anyway, to get back on track, I think Kobe would've ended up with a shade over 70 points in the Memphis game, I think he had 18, 18, 20 in the first 3 quarters respectively. All he'd need is 14 in the 4th and he would've had 70. Kobe's the only guy that I could realistically see scoring 70+ in a game (well, Tmac might be able to do it, his game against the Bulls was impressive), but nobody will ever come anywhere close to Wilt's record. That's one of the few genuinely "unbreakable" records in sports. Dimaggio's 56 game hit streak is another. These should be remembered respectively and brought up for historical purposes, not to be degraded.
