the five best post-players
These are the guys you can throw the ball to in today's game with the mode of "we need buckets" and they will give them to you. The following players are the guys who can force doubles on the block at times, draw the defenders then kick it out. In my opinion the top5 are...
-Shaquille O'Neal
-Tim Duncan
-Eddy Curry
-Michael Sweetney
-Yao Ming

In that case
1. Yao
2. Shaq
3. Duncan
Everyone else has their moments, but these are the players you go to for a high % shot and startling efficiency with their back to the basket.

Pau Gasol
If you want to limit it to guys who don't face up all the time, it's Shaq and Duncan, and that's it. They will actually beat you with back to the basket post moves, which is important because you aren't turning your back on the defense. That's why they are also the best at picking apart defenses and creating for their teammates. It's no coincedence, they know what they're doing.
Every other post player in the league who scores well in the post is more of a face up player than anything.
EDIT- Added Pau Gasol, his post game is nice.

Mike Sweetney? Eddy Curry? The limiter isn't for HoF post-players only. Out of 300+ players in the NBA you can't say that only these guys post more than they shoot. And to me Tim Duncan shoots more jumpers than he is inside.

That's pretty much it if you're looking for mainly back-to-the-basket big men, guys who will regularly draw double teams.
