Re: Best Fadeaway Shooter
I'll take Garnett. With his length and his touch, that move is simply unguardable.
But I love watching LBJ take fadeaways. Those baseline ones he takes, from about 20 feet out in the corner, are simply amazing. It's like he not only fades away but spins baseline and is like soaring out of bounds when he shoots it. The degree of difficulty seems like it's off the charts.

Re: Best Fadeaway Shooter
All-time, it's simple. MJ. Remember when he'd cut into the lane, step back so quickly, go up, float backwards, and hover for what seemed like an eternity? Yeah, vintage Michael. You couldn't block that. You couldn't DEFEND that.
Right now, it's KG. Don't even mention LeBron. It's become second-nature to him. Getting the ball baseline, putting some fakes on the defender, and dropping the fadeaway has become as systematic as free throws to him.

Re: Best Fadeaway Shooter
MJ's fadaways were just sweet to watch, best of all time.
Melo does a lot of fades too, missing most of the time.

I agree... i don't think Melo fades that much... he's driving a lot... but sometimes he drives with too much power.. he either looses the ball or can't finish...

Good choice. Today? I would have to say KG is one of the best in this aspect. All-time? MJ... no doubt for me.

Re: Best Fadeaway Shooter
Bobby Jackson because every jump shot he shoots is a fadeaway.
Look at his fg percentage and that's pretty much his % of fadeaways, he gets very few layups.
In terms of the big named players probably KG. Unblockable.

Re: Best Fadeaway Shooter
The best fadeaway shooter in the game today is probably Kobe. The overall best shooter in the game, is probably Redd. The best mid-range shooter is probably still Tmac or Kobe, but LeBron is becoming far more dangerous there.

Sorry I was thinking more of his rookie year, but I suppose he still doesn't fade nearly as much as everyone else mentioned here
