How is that relevant? Were talking about this year, and Nets fans keep saying he has 59 career triples doubles! So what....

Re: Okay! so far this season who's your top 5 PG/SG/SF/PF/Cs?

highest ranking for kidd among pg this season would be around 5-8. noway he can be higher than billups, parker, paul, AI, arenas, nash. his number are not even near them. kidd is great, but there are alot more talent pg out there now. couple of year ago i would consider kidd a top 3 guard.

Re: Okay! so far this season who's your top 5 PG/SG/SF/PF/Cs?

Billups= 19.6 pts, 3 rb, 8.4 ast, .67 steal, and 2 TO : controlling best team in nba (44% 3s and 92% ft)
Nash= 19 pts, 4 rb, 10.8 ast, amost 1 steal, 4 TO 35% 3s and 94% ft. (this is without amare, jj, n q)
Parker= 19 pts, 4 rb, 7 ast, 1.34 steal, 3 TO 20% 3s and 70% ft (running best team in west, mayb nba)
Paul= 16.3 pts, 6 rb, 7 ast, 2 steal 2 TO 30% 3s and 80% ft (and this is what? his rookie year?)
Kidd= 14 pts, 7 rb, 8 ast, 2 stea, 2.5 TO 35% 3s and 75% ft

kidd is great, i have respect for him, but too say hes a top 5 pg right now is a bit too much. u also have cassell, b. davis, bibby, jj. also this is for this year, not career.

Re: Okay! so far this season who's your top 5 PG/SG/SF/PF/Cs?

Look, when it comes to judging players, I just ignore the numbers.

Statistics do not indicate how good a player is. Stats indicate what a player produces, but they don't name the causes of the production and that's why stats are worthless.

And when it comes to Jason Kidd, his numbers have never indicated how good he is. That guy's worth goes beyond numbers.

I rather have Kidd with a statline of 0/0/0/0 than most of the other PG's in the NBA.

You are just a fool, that looks up NBA.com and looks for stats and standings and then judges players these criterias. People like you are actually the reason, that Elton Brand is considered a Top 5 PF and MVP candidate, which is just ridiculous.

Re: Okay! so far this season who's your top 5 PG/SG/SF/PF/Cs?

lol no need for name calling. i know kidd mean alot to his team, so does billups, nash, and parker. you see how the suns play without nash last year. and this season just prove that nash is even more value to his team. billups just happen to run the best team in the nba and the same goes for parker. i mean without chris paul i dont think the hornet are where they at today. dont get me started on acouple of more pg that is as important to their team than number wise. im not even bashing kidd i just say hes not a top 5 pg THIS SEASON. mvp is base on a winning team, not only is brand team winning this year, but his number has improve. Brand is right behind TD, KG, and Dirk. ohh btw i went on espn.com and not nba.com. so get ur facts straight.

No...

I watched Brand this season for like 4 or 5 times and I say, that he is no MVP candidate.

Fine with me, but you also implied that it's out of line for him to be considered a top 5 power forward, which is ridiculous. He is clearly a top 5 power forward.
