Your Take On The Seasons First 3 Trades?

Sacramento acquires Ron Artest from Indiana for Peja Stojakovic.
Edge: Sacramento

I give the edge to the Kings on this deal even with the "extra baggage" he may bring to Sac-town. Artest easily one of the top defenders in the league and also brings a career average of 19 ppg and 5rpg. Not to mention in the 7 games in 04-05 he put nearly 25 a game. Peja had his best season in 2000 averaging 20.4 but since then it's been a slow decline in his numbers.

Phoenix acquires Nikoloz Tskitishvili from Minnesota for a 2006 second-round draft pick.
Edge: Phoenix

Obviously Phoenix thought something good can possibly happen if Tskitishvili is reunited with Coach D'Antoni. They wouldn't have made the move if the felt it wasn't worth it.

Minnesota acquires Ricky Davis, Mark Blount, Marcus Banks, Justin Reed and two second-round draft picks from Boston for Wally Szczerbiak, Michael Olowokandi, Dwayne Jones and a conditional future first-round draft pick.
Edge: Minnesota

Ricky, Mark, Marcus, Banks and Reed all great athletes and defenders and not to mention promising futures. The Celtics IMO just don't make there team the much better. Wally is having a great year at 50% but Kandi, we seen what he's done in his bust a career and they get a medicore D-League player. Boston has to hope they get some talented players to choose from with those future 1st rounders.

Minnesota is stocking up on second round picks. Weird.

Re: Your Take On The Seasons First 3 Trades?

they are going to trade them to the hawks for al harrington. the average hawk can still legally drink, they want to get that average down some more.

btw on realgm.com they got a small story on reggie evans, and then i think just for the sake of it the game up with a "possible" scenario. reggie and flip for marcus banks. and then said it was unlikely to happen. no **** sherlock. that would be a more onesided trade than when pat garrity AND dirk nowitzki got traded FOR robert trayler.

id love to see reggie in minni tho, then they would be my 2nd favorite team behind pistons
