Not that he really has to improve. If he puts up 30/7/7 for the rest of his career, and plays till he's 35 or 36, he'll have the new all-time scoring record. Which will at least put him in the hall of fame.

that's very true....and that's part of my point, many LeBron/Cavs fans just believe that LeBron will continue to grow to some unknown level. All I've said is "LeBron getting better isn't guaranteed", I never said that it was a bad thing.

While NOTHING in life is guaranteed, almost every star in this league (barring injury) has gotten better. It seems like a fool's bet that he won't get better especially he's already improved parts of his game during this season itself.
It would be the same thing if I said Wade wouldn't get better. Sure he might not but in all likelihood he will get significanlty better

but the biggest issue i have with that comment is : Not every player in the league gets better, it's just not possible.

Re: What I Need to Say About Lebron B4 I Lose My Mind...
Experience is going to make him better though. Every player may not have a quantum leap in improvement, but any body who plays in the league for ten years figures out all the tricks. For instance I thought Derrick Coleman showed startling improvement in his final years, he just finally seemed to "get it". Hopefully Lebron doesn't wait that long, but there is a time when you become a veteran, and you start using more of your mind and less of your body. Lebron isn't there yet, though his mental approach is his strongest asset, he still isn't taking advantage of the advantages he has over his opponents enough.
When he slows down and starts just using his power on the opposition and becomes more Barkley-like, that's when it's going to get scary. Once he learns to sit in the post and run the team like Bird and Barkley did.

Re: What I Need to Say About Lebron B4 I Lose My Mind...
How come no one mentions defense when LeBron is discussed as MVP, yet they do for Nash? Bron is a better defender, yes, but not significantly better and he remains one of the weaker defenders among elite players.
Both Nash and LeBron are MVP candidates because they are carrying their respective teams and their offensive brilliance rightfully outshines their lack of defense. People shouldn't be ragging on Nash's defense and then proclaiming LeBron the MVP, but I've seen it done.

I think I misunderstood you. Are you saying no one mentions Lebron's defense when they talk about him for MVP? Because I thought that, and missing free throws at the end of games were people's main reservation against him for MVP.

I haven't seen very many critics mention defense when discussing LeBron for MVP, mostly just his "unclutchness" and team's performance. On the other hand, with Nash, defense is all they talk about.

Yes, I know a lot of people criticize LeBron's defense, but not so much when it comes to MVP discussion. That usually happens in "best player in the league" or LeBron/Kobe debates.
Meanwhile, defense is basically the only thing that Nash detractors harp on when discussing him.
