Interviews, press conferences, and all such matters done through the media is essentially packaged to us. If you want to blindly accept that package as the truth, that's your prerogative.

Kobe Bryant might be the most honest, unselfish player in the NBA, but I don't know that. And I don't care to judge character through the media; IMO it's a pointless task to try to draw final conclusions about Kobe's integrity and motives based on 20 minute interviews with Stephen A. Smith.

It's much more productive to only evaluate the games themselves, because we see them for what they are.

Did you even watch the interview? I used to bash Kobe ALL of the time, I have plenty of people who can attest to that for me, yet lately I've opened up my mind and given Kobe the benefit of the doubt. I watched that interview with an open mind and I came out with the impression that Kobe is a sincere guy and is really passionate about winning. Anyone who saw the interview and thinks otherwise is A. a blind hater or B. a flat-out idiot.

No I didn't, and no I don't care. From everything I've seen of him I cannot believe him. In my opinion he's a dishonest person and there's some ulterior motive behind almost everything he says and does. Am I stating that as a fact? No, it's my opinion. Am I trying to get other people to feel that way, and insulting them if they don't? No, they have their own opinions. That's fine that you see him this way, but many other people don't and it's not out of hate (sorry). You don't have to agree with their views but you should at least be able to accept their opinions without insulting them.

Well when you go around saying you dislike someone just because they have a certain "look" to them you don't like, it comes across as being prejudice and discriminating. So of course you're probably gonna take some heat for using that lame excuse of why you dislike someone.

How does Kobe come off as dishonest? Just curious...

If you saw the interview you might change your mind, but by saying you didn't and you don't care you're pretty much admitting you are a blind hater.

but what are you basing this off of? has he been exposed as a serial liar?

i certainly think that kobe's upbringing had alot to do with his personality and some of his insecurity and some of his drive to succeed. it may make him less likeable to some. but to think he's completely untrustworthy to the point where anything he says you don't believe, i'd just ask on what basis?
